Marketing’s ‘Eyeball’ DVD was anamorphic all along and the only differences between the old Marketing DVD and X-Rated’s new DVD are a different cover, a different disc label and that the Marketing intro was removed.

And Marketing's disc is region free, maybe thatwas changed to region 2 on the X-Rated disc.

Same transfer? I have the Marketing one (courtesy of Xploited and their 2 day shipping!) and I love it. Would this new one be considered an upgrade?

Yes,I checked, you're right there.Guess I'll still have to buy the Marketing disc.X-Rated usually add those ugly title credits to their movies:( .
    Pity...

it´s exactly the same transfer... But on the other hand, the X-Rated disc is limited to only 666 pcs. I have the Marketing disc, and i won´t be "upgrading" to X-Rated.

Knife of Ice loooks extremely cool. Has anyone here seen it to comment on it?

A friend got "knife of ice" a while a go and he described it as: Not much blood, a goofy ending and some cruelty to animals (Bullfighting).

A must see with other words! :D

I've really been wanting this one on BD but wasn't too impressed with the 2 X-Rated Kult BDs I already have, La Bambola di Satana and 2 Males for Alexa. Hopefully they do better with this one so I can buy it!

Eyeball is great fun. Actually when I initially ordered the Marketing release, Tony (XPloited, waaaay back..) sent me the X Rated DVD instead!
Anyhoo, an upgrade is more than welcome. Hell, any Lenzi on whatever format is more than welcome if you ask me. RIP Maestro!

EYEBALL is coming from 88 Films:

OK Italian horror fans... you have waited long enough...

27th August brings you more Lenzi!!

Released in 1975, EYEBALL might just be the late, great Umberto Lenzi's greatest giallo! Gruesome and gruelling, this torrid tale of a black gloved killer with a fetish for plucking out the peepers of his unlucky victims is a personal favourite of PULP FICTION genius Quentin Tarantino and it is easy to see why. Boasting plenty of bloodshed and some beautiful Catalonian locations, EYEBALL is a murder-mystery that stands up to the best of Mario Bava and Dario Argento and, with its messy arterial mayhem, even anticipates the later excess of such American slasher staples as FRIDAY THE 13TH! Dare you open your eyes to EYEBALL? This essential Italian terror totem is finally available in horrifying HD thanks to the body-count Kings at 88 Films!

This is ONLY available on Amazon for DVD pre-order at the moment but expect a MEGA future announcement on the BluRay release which will be very very special indeed. And this release will also include the new High Rising feature length documentary ALL EYES ON LENZI - a look back at the life and career of the late great genius featuring Lenzi himself and contributions from critics John Martin and Rachael Nisbet, filmmaker Scooter McCrae and more!

This will be better than the previous releases, I'm pretty sure.

Finally caught up to this one last October, pretty good giallo. It once ran in the States as a double bill with SUSPIRIA.
