Changes from time to time, but Abbey Road is currently my favorite. Also really love Revolver, Rubber Soul, The White Album, and Magical Mystery Tour.
I know it's cliche, but Abbey Road. The second half of the album is one long medley of some of the greatest music ever recorded.
Impossible poll. Although I did recently break down and pick up one of those Anthology double-albums, Vol. 2, and it is damn good. Great, rare alternate takes and b-sides and studio session work. Can't believe I put off buying these for so long. Will definitely pick up Vol. 3.
Like many on here, it changes from time to time. I'd say Please Please Me (because I have a soft spot for their "silly-stupid" phase) and then Let It Be from their more serious phase. ~Matt
White Album today. All modern music is there. Industrial (Revolution 9), Punk (Helter Skelter), Hard Rock (Birthday), Country (Rocky Racoon), Blues (Yer Blues), you name it. Everything started here.
Yeah, White Album for me too. So much different stuff going on that record and it's all great. I've still got the old double-album on white vinyl, although unfortunately there are a few skips and scratches.....
white album for me. i also have it on vinyl, my dads, it still plays perfectly and has all the inserts/poter in perfect shape!
I too have it on Vinyl, though my copy lacks the inserts. I also have Abbey Road, Sgt. Pepper's, Let It Be, and Magical Mystery Tour.
Revolver all the way. i love every song on that album. i also love them all really. ...it changes which i like every so often.
Is very hard to make a choice I have very big Beatles collection in music. Over 100 cd. I maybe chose Revolver. If you love Beatles is to now is coming all cds in remaster in sept 9, 09. Amaze and if you want to listen some thing very good and fun try http://virtualbeatles.blogspot.com/2008/04/virtual-beatles-with-little-help.html Is some musics guys finish Beatle demos and make full album from beatles demos. Very good work. Is what is happen if Beatles make full cd in reunion time before.
white album, it is certainly bloated and has way too many misses (rocky racoon?), but has my favorites otherwise, mostly harrison and lennon tracks
I only own the White Album these days, which is very, very good (although part of me just thinks I like it because of the Manson connection). Blackbird is an AWESOME song. All Beatles are listenable and good. I had one of the compilation 2-CD sets and Sgt Peppers at some point but traded them in for something more interesting, like SLAYER.
First Misfits now Slayer. Dude, you're on a role Oh... Yeah... Not a huge Beatle fan, but I gotta throw in my love for "The White Album." Pretty good all around.
Another vote for the White Album. This album is a blast, but it could use a bit of pruning. Never cared for Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, Bungalow Bill, or the slow version of Revolution. I enjoyed some of the overlooked songs- Long, Long, Long, Don't Pass Me By, and even the silly Wild Honey Pie. My second fave is Let it Be. The movie and sessions (Mostly dreadful!) are fascinating.
