Daughters Of Darkness for me, an amazing film.

I've been wanting to see Blood And Roses forever, but I've never been able to. I hope it's released someday.

In regards to Blood Spattered Bride, I was really looking forward to seeing it, but when I finally did I thought it was really bad. Really boring and uninvolving for me, I just kept watching the clock. It had some very nice moments, but they were few and far between. I was really hoping to like it more. Maybe a 2nd viewing would change my opinion of it, as it seems to get a lot of praise from likeminded film fans. We'll see if I ever get in the mood to give it another shot.

Innocent Blood is my favorite vampire film, let alone female.

Vampyros Lesbos - Soledad Miranda was soooo hot in that movie. Too bad her life was cut short.

I saw Blood and Roses last year in the theater. Joe Dante was in town for a horror movie festival. He picked Blood and Roses to be shown right before his film, The Howling. I really enjoyed Blood and Roses even though the film print wasn't the best. It's definitely deserving of a dvd release.

Twins of Evil as I'm a big Cushing fan and Hammer film fan. I even fondly remember Lust For a Vampire although it's been a few years since I've seen it. Yutte Stensgaard is stunning and of course the "strange love" song is a classic.

Vampyros Lesbos has the most votes as of this writing which is interesting. Jess Franco truly is a bad director. Don't get me wrong. I probably own over 30 of his movies on DVD but I don't think many people would say he is a good director. Soledad Miranda is quite nice and if you like her check out a little title called Sound of Horror where she appeared with Ingrid Pitt.

Another film that deserves mention is Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, Jaromil Jires dream-laced vampire fantasy by way of coming-of-age tale. Stunning film, one with a unique world all it's own. It's also a perfect film to watch for Halloween. My first viewing of it was a few Octobers back, and it was just a wonderful experience. Double-bill it with Lemora for maximum impact.

I vote for 'Other' - Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural, which is not just my favorite female vampire film, but probably my favorite vampire film altogether. It's haunting, and on the one hand, it's a lyrical tale about a girl becoming a young woman, a sexual being, and on the other, it's surprisingly eerie and quite effective as a horror film.

It doesn't seem to get a lot of talk these days and I wonder why.
