I just got done watch Frankenhooker, Brain Damage and Basket Case over the past three days. It's a toss up for me, they're pretty much all equally great. I guess I would say Brain Damage is the best film but I'm going to throw some love Frankenhooker's way as it might be the most fun.

Frankenhooker by a hair. It's just a fun movie. I do love Basketcase 1 & 2.Never had a chance to see three and I'm not paying the $60 they wanted for it on Amazon.Brain Damage was alright from what I remember,it's been awhile for that one. Never seen Bad Biology, look's like a newer release.I'll have to pick it up If i see it. I like Frank Henenlotter's movies.

Frankenhooker would have been much better had Elizabeth (?) been turned into the monster much earlier in the movie. She was so damn funny but it took so damn long to get to her, it was torture.

I picked Basket Case. Ever notice how in that featurette where he goes on a tour of NYC to visit all the shooting locations, Frank Henenlotter looks like a cross between John McCain and that Computer Professor guy?

I just watched the Bad Biology R2 DVD. Goofy film. Not much better than a Troma release. That being said, it is fun to watch and lots of nudity in it, but don't expect too much!!

Got a chance to watch Bad Biology tonight and thought it was great fun. Great return for Henenlotter and it should rank along side his other fan favorites.

Whoa. I had not heard of this one before! Is it on disc or in theaters? (Obviously, I'm too lazy to look it up :))

Basket Case (1982) I'm still trying to figure out where that creature had a penis.

I'm casting my vote for Basket Case. There's just a certain sleazy "charm" to it that has never been recaptured.

Brain Damage comes in a very close second. And not that it affects the quality of the film in any way, but there are some very odd homo-erotic undercurrents going on there. Are some folks (myself included) reading too much into it? Has Henenlotter ever spoken about that?

It's out on DVD - at least in a disk put out in the UK (as of early March).

I guess it hasn't been released in region 1 yet?

  17. I love all of his projects, but in my heart of hearts, I love Frankenhooker the bets. It's great, oddly feel good, low-budget gory goodness with a heart of gold from beginning to end. It's just so entertaining and honestly funny at times.

The first Basket Case is a clsoe runner-up. So I voted for Frankenhooker.

    My favorite is Brain Damage.

I found Bad Biology to be a big disapointment. It wasn't the grand return I was expecting.
