An auto-contrarian isn't contributing anything. The ignore function filters the blather from the worthwhile.

Even if someone's on your ignore list, you can still see that they've posted and you're still given the option to view those posts. It's more like a warning to yourself that a member you may not care much for has posted something.

Ghost Story is another decent flick. So too is the remake of House on Haunted Hill (IMO).

Even granting that, and the movies simply grate on my nerves- I have no actual meaty case against them, I find there is at least entertainment value to be derived in poking fun at the subgenre. I mean, we'll never get an observant spoof if all we have out there are the Wayans brothers.

I feel like ghost stories would be better if there were no ghosts, and more bitches getting tortured and fucked.

I've always been a fan of haunted house flicks & ghost stories. My top favorites would include (in some order): The Shining, The Haunting (1963), and The Legend of Hell House. I voted for The Haunting.

I just wanted to say that I just watched the 1999 version of The Haunting. I always figured that the hatred it got must've been over-exagerated and that, at least, the set must look nice. I mean, I loved Lili Taylor back around this time period. And, it's got Liam Neeson and Owen Wilson, right between Bottle Rocket and Royal Tenenbaums. How bad could it really be?

Oh man, was I wrong. What a terrible terrible film.

Between Bottle Rocket and Royal Tenenbaums, most films pale in comparison.

Futureman - "Bob, you were told to clean the pool!"

    Dignan - "It's one leaf."

    Classic.

Wes Anderson's movies are so bizarre. I love each and every one of them dearly, but completely understand why other people can't get into them or even despise them.

agreed. actually, the first time I saw tenenbaums, I just didn't get it at all. now I think it's hysterical. I need to see Darjeeling Limited and Moonrise Kingdom.
