Well, I did a search and i'm surprised this hasn't been done. What is your favorite giallo film? I've always been torn between Blood and Black Lace and Deep Red.

Well I've only seen about five of the films from that list, but I'm gonna go with Tenebre, with Don't Torture a Duckling as a very close second.

I'm torn between Deep Red & Tenebre, but went with the latter because of it's excessive luridness - an essential element of the giallo.

There are some great gialli on this list like, DUCKLING, SOLANGE, OPERA, WHO SAW HER DIE and SHORT NIGHT OF GLASS DOLLS. I have to go with Argento's stylishly beautiful TENEBRE though. It is right up there with SUSPIRIA as my favorite Argento film.

I had to go with dont torture a duckling because it is the only one out of all those that I have seen.

I thought it was actually a pretty good movie but the whole giallo genre I dont really understand.

DEEP RED,it takes Argento's early giallos and pushes them into a darker, more surreal level. Also teams him with Goblin for the first time.

I didn't know Deep Red was the first Goblin/Argento pairing. Its been forever since I've seen this and don't own a copy. Is the soundtrack for Deep Red as memorable as it is for other Goblin/Argento pairings?
