Veronica Carlson is my favorite. She did three movies for Hammer. Her best performance was in Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed.

If we're talking best actress, then it's definitely Barbara Shelley. If we're talking best looking, then it's definitely Caroline Munro. The poll specified actress so I went with Shelley. Munro doesn't really do a heck of a lot in her two hammer films other than improve the scenery, if you get my drift.

Veronica Carlson in Dracula Has Risen From the Grave. Even before I voted in this poll, I was so hoping she would be listed.

Caroline Munro was one of the earliest examples of "stop what I'm doing and just stare slack jawed" beauties I can remember. Even when I was supposedly too young to know what I was looking at, somehow my Y chromosome knew.

Having said that, I also remember having a major "holy shit, can the twins come out to play?" moment when Dana Gillespie made her appearance in "Lost Continent". Not in Munro's league, but my first thought when she made her entrance walking across the kelp was "why does she need those balloons on her shoulders, she already has two".

Hammer boasted a lot of talented (and gorgeous) ladies.I like a lot of them but I always had a fondness for Martine Beswick. She was ahead of her time,a dark, sexy and strong woman with drop dead looks and real talent. She graced Hammer pictures,James Bond movies and Spaghetti Westerns, but never went as far as she could have in films. If she was starting out today she would be big,in the 60's she was probably a little too much for producers and casting directors to handle,it was a bit too early for a tough and sexual woman like Beswick.

Guess I have a weakness for bad girls.Sue me.

I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know how to post pictures in threads. Sorry, dude. You're right. Pictures would do justice for this thread.

Veronica Carlson kinda reminds me of Heidi Klum, but I went with Jacqueline Pearce. I've seen her in both the films listed just recently and the fact that her name was the only one italicized made me think it was calling out to me :p

    Definitely Munro, she's scary hot.

I also like Yvonne Romain, she was in Curse Of The Werewolf.
