Since Michelle Bauer and Tiffany Shepis didn't make the list I chose Linnea Quigley. It would be a 3-way tie regardless. All three have an entertaining and unique screen presence.

Can't choose a favorite, favs change daily. I'm leaning towards Linnea for overall body of work, and overall body. Shame time has been unkind to her, she was fucking gorgeous when she was young and her stripping is still the highlight of Return of the Living Dead (there are no low-lights in ROTLD for me, it's near perfect all the way).

Tiffany Shepis is my current favorite, although I guess it depends if I'm in ass or tits mood. Tiffany for ass, Michelle Bauer for tits! I can't say who's prettier, pretty much a tie there. Wish Kelly Brook would do more horror, loved her in Piranha and she would be the favorite but I don't think she's done enough genre stuff to qualify. House of 9 and Ripper are about it for other horror, Survival Island is anything but horror.

I really don't have a favorite but I went with Caroline Munro. Had a big crush on her back in the early 80's. 8x10 photos of her posted on my wall at that time which I still have (although no longer on the wall).

I need to check out some films w/ Ingrid Pitt. What would you all recommend?[/QUOTE]

If you can find it check out Sound of Horror from 1966. Black and white film also starring Soledad Miranda. Brinke Stevens would have been another good choice for actresses.

Quigley for me because of the numerous movies that I watched as a kid just to see her breasts.

If someone asked me who my favorite horror actress of all time was, never in a million years would Bette Davis spring to mind. But since she was on the list, I had to go with her. As much as I love Halloween and The Fog and The Innocents and could have easily gone with Jamie or Adrienne or Pamela, the sheer number of quality horror films that Bette has done combined with what she brings to each role as an actress crowns her the queen. IMHO, that is.

If you haven't already seen it, I highly recommend "The Anniversary." It's a late 60's Hammer film in which she portrays the biggest bitch one can imagine. The audio commentary with the director is funny to listen to because apparently she was a nightmare to deal with off camera.

I went with Caroline Munro to keep it simple, but I really get a kick out of Rosie Holotik and Ania Pieroni.

I went with Adrienne Barbeau but Jamie Lee Curtis and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Surprised she isn't on this list) are close behind.

Of the ones listed, I'll choose Linda Blair.

I'm kind of surprised Marilyn Burns didn't make the list. When it comes to actual screaming, she's pretty hard to beat. Also, while Ingrid Bergman isn't exactly known for horror films, she's so good in Gaslight that I would choose her as well.

Not a scream queen, but I've always liked Pam Springsteen from Sleepaway Camp 2 and 3.

After watching From Beyond and Re-Animator again recently, I looked her up on IMDB. I had no idea she was Craig Wasson's cheating wife in Body Double.

More giallo than horror, but Edwige Fenech has always been a personal favorite!

    Again, I really don't have a favorite.

However, I actually have several favorite performances:

    Adrienne Barbeau - Creepshow
    Shelley Duvall - The Shining
    Deborah Reed - Troll 2
Betsy Palmer - Friday the 13th
Linnea Quigley - Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama
Jennifer Tilly - Bride of Chucky
Gaylen Ross - Dawn of the Dead
