that was really hard, i think martin, near dark, and salems lot are great, but as far as watching something repeatedly, i could watch lost boys a lot, it is very entertaining but still creepy.
From that list I went with Lemora with Daughters of Darkness a close second. I might put Count Yorga, Blacula, Vampire Circus and Grave of the Vampire ahead of those though. Tough choice.
I Voted for The Lost Boys!! I Love this Movie, I could watch it over and over still find new things to love about it!! It was the Vampire Movie of the 80'S for me!! It's still such a Fun Film!!
I Voted for Near Dark... the fact it makes its own rules, and doesn't even bother to drop the work "Vampire" once in its entire run-time is a interesting decision. Its almost like a Western with the villains being blood thirsty and the hero being caught up in the crazyness. Definately one of the most interesting Vampire films I've ever seen, but then again I personally don't find Vampire flicks all that interesting. Too much sexual undertones and usually they tend to be Over-the-top to the extreme (Night Flyer, Fright Night, Blackula). Anyone who's into Vampire films should check out Ravenous (1998) its a very very effective mix of both Vampire film and cannibal film, set in the 1800's in the mountains of california. Guy Pierce and Robert Carlyle Duke it out in one of the most powerful and convincing hero/villian pairings I can remember. AMAZING STUFF!!!
yep agreed i hope a new special edition of fright night comes out when the remake does as well as maybe a better dvd of the sequel fright night part 2 one of the best horror movie sequels ever
Does Blacula count? Lots of hard choices there; Lemora, Salem's Lot, The Vampire Lovers, The Last Man on Earth are all great. I'd also like to toss in Black Sabbath, Black Sunday, The Werewolf vs. Vampire Woman, Horror Rises from the Tomb, The Night of the Sorcerers, Night of the Werewolf into the mix as some of my favorites. But I'll have to go with Martin as the top of the crop.
Of the films in the list, I'd go with Fright Night. But I enjoy watching the original Yorga film more. So I'll go with other. Long live Robert Quarry.
Have to go with Lost Boys, as like many on here have already mentioned, it is a movie that just never gets old. Other favourites: From Dusk Till Dawn, Blade Trilogy, Fright Night, 30 Days of Night, Salem's Lot, Vampires, Near Dark, Black Sabbath and Martin.
Damn right we really do need a Fright Night: Special Edition. Can't say I'm thrilled about the remake but I'll give it a chance.
From Dusk till Dawn has to be the most fun I've ever had watching a vampire flick. Add to that Salma's dance and we have a winner folks!
Tough choice but went with SALEM'S LOT. LOVE LET'S SCARE JESSICA and VAMPIRE LOVERS, and let's not forget Barnabas Collins in HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS.
went with let the right one in. but to tell the truth, im getting a little sick of voting for it in so many different polls. maybe i should have gone with vampyr or daughters of darkness instead...oh well, too late now.
Enjoy a lot of these....ended up going with VAMPYRES. Wish I'd thought of BLACULA before I voted, though...I might have picked that one.
This is a tough one- but I went away from my old faves to my new fave vampire flick which is Let the Right One In. It was that good. But it is followed closely by my two old faves Fright Night and The Lost Boys.
