Thanks everyone who has participated in this poll. Looks like sci-fi/fantasy wins so far, followed by drama. Also interesting to see how many people like Westerns, especially spaghetti westerns. No votes for porno or romance--maybe I should have combined these two into one category...heh heh

Went with drama for very similar reasons. Just looking at some of my favorite films that easily fit into the category.

    Boogie Nights
    Dead Poets Society
    Bully
    Closer
    Lilya 4-Ever
    Buffalo '66

i chose westerns because im so caught up in them right now but it's a close call between that and sci fi. i can't decide wether i'm going to watch quick and the dead or alien on the big screen today:)

I went for Action/Adventure, because I do love to watch asses be kicked, guns be shot, and cars be crashed.

Comedies for me, preferable comedies from the 80's - as most of the newer ones ain't really funny.

Documentary, followed by comedy and drama. There have been some great documentaries lately, the comedy genre has become pretty predictable with all the teen oriented spoofs out there, that being said I really liked Euro Trip and Harold and Kumar Go To Whitecastle. Drama is a good genre too, if done well, like House Of Sand and Fog.

Comedy for me, though not just the average dumb comedy will do. I have an odd sense of humor. :D

    Tough, tough poll!

There are so many films that I love from all genres. I'll take Action/Adventure barely over Sci-Fi/Fantasy....and with a nod to Animation. :)

There should be a category called dramedy... But only italian films would be included...

Comedy. I love feel-good movies. Haven't seen that many comedies I'd call really funny. But I do enjoy the set-ups and characters in most '80s and '90s comedies.
