Damn that's a touch question guess I'd have to go with House Of The Devil. Even though it was more horror but it did have allot of slasher elements.

For me, anything from this millennium counts as recent. :p My favourites would be Haute Tension, Cold Prey, Cold Prey II, The Town That Dreaded Sundown, and Venom - in that order. :)

I really enjoyed Billy Club. It's not the reinvention of the wheel, but it's a solid slasher, IMO.

Agreed, it's a lot of fun...same people who did Blood Junkie.

I actually just bought the DVD last week from B&N for $12. Pretty good deal since it has a high SRP for some reason. :eek1:

There's also a cheapo version on Amazon, but it's just some MOD DVD-R.

I like 'em dumb and fun, so I'd go with Dark Ride, Shredder, and The Pool. Also, the My Super Psycho Sweet 16 movies are super underrated. Also dug Wrong Turn 4, You're Next, Cold Prey II, etc.

I really enjoyed Nurse 3D. It's campy, fun, sexy and gory.

Hatchet series and cold prey 1 & 2 for me, part 3 was disappointing, Billy club sounds interesting will look out for that.

I would go with You're Next if I were braindead. Not recent but I pick Cold Prey II very effective slasher.

The ones I enjoy the most as if recent would be the Cold Prey's, Hatchet's and Wrong Turn's. The Collector movies were pretty good too. Some of the lesser known/lower budget ones would be Hills Run Red and Maskmaker. I was not a huge fan of You're Next.

Haute Tension, and I did enjoy You're Next, though I think my absolute favorite, if it can be classed as a slasher, would be Tucker and Dale vs Evil. That movie was brilliant.

I have no idea what else I've seen or what I enjoyed, but if more spring to mind I'll post them.

Haha. A dig from Simon LeBon himself. Come on, baby, the characters were so fun. Do you hate puppies too? :)
