As you may have noticed I love making polls and with the release of Death Sentence this weekend, I've decided to do a revenge poll.

What is your favorite revenge film?

I've include 19 personal favorites but since there are literally hundreds (if not thousands) of movies that fall into this category, I've also included an "Other" option this time.

    My vote: Death Wish

I'm not going to strain my mind trying to think of a cool "Other" vote so I went with Thriller: A Cruel Picture. Some people don't like it but I always get a kick out of seeing those slow motion gunshots.

There are so many great ones, but Ms. 45 is the one I find to be most effective. Abel Ferrara's finest hour, for sure. Another great one that deserves mention is Street Law, and of course, the over-the-top romp that is Death Wish 3.

Actually, if I have to choose from those I'd say easily Get Carter. One of the best British films ever made.

Rolling Thunder... all the way... William Devane is awesome with his hook hand... Tommy Lee Jones is scary as an emotionless Nam vet who aids him... and that ending... may not seem like much with everything in movies today... but it is still one of the most satisfying finales ever in a revenge movie...

I love your signature, DrHerbertWest, I just watched Stone Cold yesterday. It's still a great piece of 80's action (the fact that it was made in 1991 doesn't deter it from being an 80's action movie).

All great choices but I had to go with Oldboy. Definitely not your average revenge film.

I went with Thriller: A Cruel Picture.

Although runners-up (from what I've seen on that list) would be Oldboy and The Exterminator.

There is no revenge movie but Death Wish, and Charles Bronson is its messenger.

Haha, yeah! I discovered Stone Cold through multiple viewings on TBS when I was a kid. I recently bought it and rewatched it.... Man, what a great film.

I picked Memento even though that isn't a movie that immediately pops into my head as part of the revenge subgenre. But out of the ones I've seen on the list it is my favorite movie.
