I just started to watch the episode, but it was rated "14 LV", in the beginning, instead of PG.
I really don't want to bum anyone out on the show, so if you're liking it, that is cool.
That being said, all I know is I've seen Darryl slam a zombie's head in the trunk of a car, or Everyone Hates Chris get tore apart by zombies on The Walking Dead and last night they wouldn't show
the principal get his head bashed in with a fire extinguisher. Further more when they do cut back later on, his head is intact and there is a modest pool of blood on the floor.
It was awkwardly obvious that kid gloves were on. I was so thrown by it that I went to the guide on my tv and it indicated (PG) next to the title. PG as in "Fuck You".
Walking Dead has degraded to being gore-porn. You shame yourself by watching a show with a shitty and boring story so that you can get some cheap thrills from gory money shots. Now they're made soft core gore porn so they can expand their audience to people that watch shit like Grey's Anatomy.
How do you figure a PG rating??
I really hope that they stay in the city.
The first half of Walking Dead was awesome while they were hiding in the city. When they fled to the countryside, it became boring as hell.
So if they flee the city in this one as well, then I'm afraid that it will just turn into a copy of the original, with the characters stuck at a farm etc.
Keep it big scale and epic, please!
Also, I like some of the characters better in this show, compared to the idiots in the original one.
It indicated "PG" in the tv's channel menu. Maybe the cable provider made an error. It is a different rating than the other Walking Dead show regardless.
Second ep was a huge letdown. First they skimp on the gore, and even worse when the dad is holed up downtown and says to his son "you don't wanna see what's happening out there", and I'm thinking, "WE WANT TO SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING OUT THERE, ISN'T THAT THE PURPOSE OF THE FUCKING SHOW?" What a fucking tease. I really dug the first ep, but the second was hard to take. Strike one in my book.
I'm still torn on this show. I like seeing the breakdown of society and how the infection spreads, but the characters are some of the dimmest bulbs I've seen in a long time. Okay, no one knows exactly what's going on, but several characters refuse to share that they have seen cannibals that are very hard to kill. Use your words in the apocalypse, people.
Im caught up with episode three and still digging it. We will see how things go for the remaining three.
I am also enjoying the show. I think the acting is terrific. It is a little dull on gore, but I think they are trying to roll things out slowly. I really like the old man barber. He seems to be the smartest of the bunch so far...and a realist when it comes to what's going down.
Yeah...Ruben Blades is good in it...really enjoyed the scene with the shotgun this past episode.
Somebody had to take charge
Ruben Blades is the only character I like on the show!
I think this would be much more enjoyable for some people as a so-called "binge watching". Frankly, I'm enjoying it so far but it's way too early to tell if it will pan out. I mean, come on, it's been three episodes! What are we a network? "CANCEL IT!!!"
Still enjoying the show but there are a few characters getting on my nerves..LOL. Is it just me or is the new girlfriend/school counselor a pain in the ass? LOL. He should stick with the ex wife and the daughter of the barber....PITA.
Ruben Blades rocks!!
Strike 2 in ep. 3 almost sending me to sleep. Feel like I've seen this all before, and better.
I liked episode 3! A good scare mid-way through (my sister jumped), followed by eerie scenes (characters still taking out the garbage, etc.). I don't think this needs another FULL season, but it's a fun way to spend between seasons of TWD.
Full season (15 eps, anyway) is confirmed. I agree there may not be enough there to hold my interest. We'll see next summer.
I'm enjoying it , it seems I am a minority?
Loving it! Hate a few characters but otherwise it is pure apocalyptic gold! O just don't know if they can keep it interesting. WD has certainly had lots of dullness at times.
True..and it's had some annoying characters as well. I agree. I still like the show but not sure if it can sustain itself next year. We'll see.
