Still looking good, and I'm still looking forward to it. I think the "ideas" comment is perhaps legit. Zombie is a young director (as in relatively new to films) and it would have been nice to see him develop a bit before slipping into remake territory. I was sad to see Aja show such great potential, and to then take the same path. If those who hate remakes want more original material out there, then it must be annoying when some of the hot potentials so easily slip into these films.

Still, for those of us that don't care about remakes - bring it on!

They were going to re-make the film any ways. They asked Rob. He agreed.
It's not as if he went to them and asked to remake the film. He simply took the oportunity presented to him.

Of course, but it would have been nice if he'd be able to say: "You know, I have a script here that I'm going to make, thank you." ;)

I wonder if Cumming's... oh, excuse me, "zombie's" opus will be made into a game? So far there has been only one official game based on the Halloween films:

and if the remake spawns one, it would be wonderful... because then Uwe himself could adapt it!

I don't like the poster, but then again I seem to love only illustrated movie posters from the old school.

Still, I'm very much looking forward to seeing this in theatres. I just think it would have been a better idea to release it in October.

Good God that got a lot of money.
Is the Friday The 13th game anywhere near as rare as Halloween? I know I have that one waiting to be dug up at my dad's house, but never saw Halloween in stores when I was a kid.
DOH! Of course the Friday game is Nintendo, not Atari.

Didn't hear it, but saw it when I went to see 1408 last week. Of course the trailers aren't always the same from theater to theater.

    That dude cracks me up.
Yeah this game wasn't that good, but I still liked it back then.

For giggles, check out the Spectrum version.

Oh, and bring your own blood capsules.

I've never found a legit released cartridge of that when I was hunting Atari games a few years ago.

I did however find an original PROTOTYPE for it which I purchased. I've never seen one with a manual before! This is a cool find.

I have the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2600 game with the manual too.

Both of these games, you should all know, suck a LOT of ass.

It sounds good on paper, but Dimension doing reshoots always, always scares me. :nervous:
