I can't find all the old reviews with comparisons of the deluxe editions to the original Friday the 13th DVDs. Does anyone recall how the Deluxe Edition of New Blood compares to the original release? If they did something like Part 6 and changed the look of the film?

Thanks. I thought they were working on putting all the old reviews back up here. But I guess not.

From those images it doesn't look like they pulled a Part 6 and have the coloring different.

Am I in the minority thinking that Paramount did a better job with the color timing on the Deluxe edition of Part VI? The woods look more of a forest-y green and flesh tones look less pink. I dunno, but I think the Deluxe Edition/blu-ray looks better. I never saw what the big deal was. And that end shot of Jason underwater looks WAY better on the new transfer with the greenish filter. It looks more like murky lake water.

Wow......not bad at all. Even for a used set. Amazon still has it listed for 475!

If I wasn't going to Disney world in 2 weeks, I'd pull the trigger on that bad boy right now. But unfortunately 120 bucks at Disney will get me a turkey sandwich and a medium fountain coca cola, so yeah.... lol I appreciate the link though, man.... I'll be double checking that price when I get back for sure.

No worries. They have great prices for the most part, and they ship stuff super fast. 3 days to Canada. I couldn't believe it.

I remember comparing the pictures of the review here and liking the blue of the original more. That's the one I used to capture my avatar.
