MSRP is apparently only $31.99, so it's possible this drops under $23.00, if Amazon applies it's standard 30% preorder discount at some point.

Yeah same here. The ultimate set still apparently has the same number of films so it's got to be a bonus disc or something surely.

I’ll die laughing if the “bonus disc” on this is the same bonus disc from the Crystal Lake to Manhattan DVD box set, the same way it was that exact disc (down to the disc art and everything) on the Complete Collection box set.

Because I can totally see that happening.

I think they're just duplicate listings. They both have the same $31.99 MSRP and now they're both described as "The Ultimate Collection."

That's what I am thinking also. I've seen similar duplicate listings on Amazon before, and they are just a listing error. Later on one of the listings will probably either show as "unavailable" or disappear completely.

If you zoom in on the image you see 6 disc set, soI assume this is just a repackage of the 6 first discs in the original collection. Assuming this is the final artwork.

Went ahead and pre-ordered it, fuck it. The packaging looks powerful weak, but for 30 bucks, I'm really only buying the discs. Looking forward to finally seeing some Jason in hd. I'll never part with my "from crystal lake to Manhattan" set though......it sits next to my projector 365.

It's currently $22.40 on Amazon. Packaging be damned.

Seriously. For that price, they can ship it in a pizza box. Hell, even a USED pizza box would be okay.

8 movies...8 discs. Is each film getting its own disc now?
