Looking at the screenshots it's hard to decide what is the better version. Some screens look better in "green" and others look better in "blue" ....

Considering the film takes place in the woods, I'd say green is more fitting. Even looks better when Jason is underwater, the murky green looks more like lake water.

I like the old dvd better too, had to mess with the color timing again.. I wanna see it the way I seen it in the theater.

Because you remember the correct color timing of a film you saw in 1986? Okay.

I have bought all of these films on VHS and twice on DVD...I know I'm gonna have to do it again, even though I already have the first three on Blu. Unless the they really fuck this up.

yep, i think a lot of people are in the same boat. i thought for sure i'd upgrade to the box when it was announced, but now i'm not sure if i can justify it. i may try to hold out for individual (or double-feature, as appears to be the case for 5/6 and 7/8) of parts 4 - 8. JgtH, JX, and FvJ I can live with having just on DVD. those are in my collection for completions sake only.

I'm really waiting to see what the official specs are before I get too excited. I remember reading an interview with Daniel Farrands, who worked on the Deluxe Edition DVDS, and he said something about having lots more material for each flick that couldn't be included due to DVD space. Will we get that stuff? Will Parts 1 and 9 be the unrated versions? Hope we find out soon.

I thought the blue was better. It fit the whole woods only illuminated by moonlight. It comes off as more spooky.

I bet Jason X and Freddy vs Jason will look great on Blu-ray seeing as they are the newer releases. And I had serious hesitations even watching these movies but I've come to like them for various reasons. It's kind of like Friday the 13th Part 8. That should be horrible but it's good.

Warner left Freddy Vs. Jason out of the Nightmare box set and I was really hoping they would have left it out of the Friday box set too. I abhorrently loathe that movie with the most fervent of passions. I put it right down there in the revolting abyss with Halloween Resurrection.

    Freddy vs. Jason

You know I loved Freddy vs. Jason when it came out but now...............I think that movie makes me cringe more than any other.

I've been living happily just pretending that that movie doesn't exist, but now, if I want the Friday box set, I'm not only going to be forced to acknowledge its existence, I'm going to have to own it and honestly, the thought of that just makes my teeth hurt. I'm not one of these completists who has to have every movie in a particular franchise. I never understood that logic at all. If a movie is just flat out terrible and I have no desire to ever suffer through it again, I'm not going to own it, period. Maybe I'll just hold off and hope to God that they release these individually. It'll probably never happen, but yeah, I hate Freddy Vs. Jason that much.

Yeah Freddy Vs. Jason is goddamn awful. Visually it's pretty cool, some of the kills are okay, and Katharine Isabelle and Monica Keena are pretty hot, that's about it. That burnout Jason Mewes ripoff guy and that Freddy caterpillar, holy shit.

Freddy Vs. Jason isn't bad but it sure didn't care or even take the time to satisfy fans. It's more of here you go and now shut the fuck up situation.

The element's that are missing to complete what fan's wanted.
1:)Kane Hoder(which doesn't brother as for anyone can play that role)
    2:)The Tone need's to be like ANOES 1 & 2 FT13TH 1'2'3 & 4
3:)A different director like the guy who directed Hellboy 1 & 2
    4:)A better story and script

    Thing's that fan's didn't want but got:
    1:)Jason's personality and physical presence

Let's hope we get a Michael Myers Vs. Pinhead that make's up for this film

I'll admit FvJ isn't as fun as it was 10 years ago but I still think it's a lot of goofy fun.

Yep, it's true  The trailers for it fascinated me at the time. I ended up watching all the sequels shortly after and then was hooked on horror :D

    That's awesome man

As for the Destiny Child chick being in it. At least she was killed in it. Halloween Resurrection didn't even have the balls to kill Busta Nut or whatever his name was.

I don't want to be mean but when ever I hear someone criticize Halloween Ressurection I think to myself this person has a MATURITY problem. I think it's underrated.

It's not Busta Rhymes who beat up Michael Myers it's a character by the name of Freddie Harris and he has far worse done to him than that.

Halloween Ressurection is the closet thing that we will get to the Michael Myers in The original 78 film besides Part 2.
