I would never buy a tv for any one movie. But I love the 3D format and with all the 3D movies today I will always want my TVs to be 3D. Friday 13th is the best 3D I have ever seen with Jaws 3D being number 2.

3D, for me, is a terrible gimmick. So nope. I'll be watching my Friday the 13th Part 3 Blu-ray in glorious 2D.

And as to the first film, I'm pretty sure it will be the "uncut" version from the previous Blu-ray, it would really make no sense otherwise. Fingers crossed Jason Goes to Hell is uncut.

There's a great deal on this set currently going on at WBshop.com. They mistakenly have the MSRP listed at $99.95, and have it discounted from that to $90.97 as their current price, when you put it into your cart they automatically take off $10, and if you use the code WBAFSAVE10 you get another $10 off. This equals $71 for the set with free shipping plus tax. After tax my total was $77.71. Follow the link in the first sentence to be taken right to the item on the WBshop site.

If anyone is intending to get this set, you really can't go wrong with that price.

I purchased my 3D TV a little over 2 years ago, and I own several 3D movies, at least 17, with the latest being Oz: The Great and Powerful. I know I'm going to get flack for getting Sam Raimi's latest movie because it is not Horror, but I actually really liked it, and the Ladies Of the Evil Dead, and Bruce Campbell having cameos in it, made it worth it for me.

I wouldn't run out and buy one but Friday the 13th part III would be the first 3-D blu-ray I would have watched when I did get one.

WB should address if 9 will be "uncut". Silly, they mention 2 and 7 which don't even have uncut versions available. Especially Part 2 as all deleted footage was lost or destroyed.

No kidding. And I'd just rather chance getting it from Amazon than saving a few bucks. I can easily cancel it there, or get a replacement if it arrives screwed up...and with Warner I've definitely had a ton of defective products over the years.

Plus, Best Buy or some other retailer may possibly have an exclusive, and the price may be advertised much lower by the release week.

Someone pointed this out on blu-ray.com

I am guessing the first 3 will actually just be exactly what they re-released the beginning of the year. WB also made it sound like they were ponying up a new transfer for Exorcist's 40th anniversary but that turned out to be false too.

every time i've sprung for a really expensive BD set, i've seen it for half that a year later. look at the price of the Alien Anthology set now, and it was going for $60-$70 at first, wasn't it? this is something i'm going to wait for. if i get it at all. like i said before, i may just pick up individual releases of 4, 5/6, and 7/8 if those are ever made available.

So do we know for a fact that Jason Goes to Hell is going to be the rated version or are we still speculating at this point?

I feel there is very little chance of that happening. Remember everyone that was waiting for the Nightmare 4/5 and 6/7 double features when that series box set was announced? They ended up buying the box set because WB hasn't bothered to release the other films separately.

Sorry? What does that mean exactly ... sorry?

What are they sorry about? Just say, they DON'T want to release the films unrated & be done with it. Everyone and there mother seen the uncut "clips" from Friday the 13th: From Crystal Lake to Manhattan. So stop playing games and release a proper blu-ray set.

I really can't believe they actually had someone write sorry. What an insult.

Also, Part 3 should also be 2.35.1 NOT 1:85

WB had just said on their Facebook page that they have no idea about JGTH being uncut or not. I don't have a Facebook account so I could not confirm, but it was posted on another forum.
