That sucks. Single player should've been one of their main goals.

What are people going to do if the multiplayer community dies down after a few months and you can't find anyone to play with?

I think playing the couselor will be quite thrilling. Like Alien Isolation.

This is really shaping up to be a great little game for us fans :D

I doubt that will happen with a game like Friday the 13th, considering the fan base in North America and Europe, the thousands upon thousands of backers, and that the title will be available at retail stores.

I am excited for the multiplayer game - but would have been much happier if they would include a single player - who knows maybe we will get lucky

Doesn't Japan really like the franchise too?

Well, it basically sounded like some tracks that bands like Treat, Alien etc. did back in the 80:s, so yeah, it sounded very 80:s.

Just went to Wiki, looked up both bands, and YouTubed some of their songs against the song used in the gameplay footage. I can't say I heard much similarity.

    A little. But not much.

Pretty much anyone if you grew up or lived through the 80's. It is immediately reminiscent of that era. It sounds like how Bon Jovi sounded during that time. It is music composed in the style of glam metal.

Precisely. It sounds exactly like Bon Jovi.

I just found this video that explains what we can expect and not expect based on the alpha footage that was shown at E3. I think this addresses some of the concerns some are having:

Okay... Jason knows he has superpowers and stalks areas where he thinks victims will be... to get them to give off the radar of fear?

    That's too intuitive.

It's great to see more footage of this, and the kills were all fun... but I REALLY wish they would have given us some counselor gameplay footage in addition, or instead of, this. Ok, cool. Deaths. Yay. I like slashers. But it feels as if they're appealing to the primal "bro, that's so gory, get a six pack and let's par-tay, chyeaaahh" rather than... idk... playing an atmospheric, suspense filled semi-cooperative experience. Like, ok, cool, we now have 16 deaths in total seen in full for the game, some environment, and about 2 minutes of a counselor running and hiding in a cabin. Still pumped for the game, but would be more if I could see some car fixing or interior item searching. Did anyone else keep looking at the forest and campgrounds in the background after the kills sunk in?

The graphics look nice too. On youtube, some people are saying that it looks like PS2.

I wish that I could see their PS2s in person.

Well it is still a work in progress - so I figure they are showing this since it probably gets the most people excited - and the graphics I doubt are at their final stage

Sweet! I like that Crazy Lixx (a Swedish hair metal band) did a track for the game :)

Apperantly, the track in the earlier gameplay video, was also by Crazy Lixx.
I thought I recognized the sound, but didn't realize it was them.

Loved the kill with the spear through the head, and Jason pulling it out from the other end :D
The final machete kill was great as well.

That's the great thing with a videogame, no need to cut to other angles, to switch to a dummy, or another prop.
Just one continuous shot of the entire act, which makes it look way more brutal, even though it's just graphics.

Hell, like.... yeah! Some of that gave the movies a run for their money.
