I'm not usually a multi player person. Though I enjoyed playing Left 4 Dead a few years back.
I wish they added single player, but I'm starting to warm up to the idea of playing this in a local lobby, with a group of friends on a saturday night :)
And if the game does well, maybe they'll add single player as DLC down the line?

I am not sure if they are still on pace for October or not - but a lot of prework was done before the kickstarter as this was going to be a game "like" F13 until they were actually able to get the license and fund with kickstarter. Single player sounds like it is not going to happen - I hope they surprise us - but I don't expect it to happen. I just found out another game I bought in a kickstarter campaign is now delayed until early 2018 - so hopefully I still have the console version I selected by then! That game is called Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

    Crap...
    I should have expected that.
Most of these kickstarter games get delayed.
Let's hope that it won't be delayed yet again, after that.
    Loved the demo.

I don't think so. Jason can't start skinning people like Pinhead. That's not what he does. And I hated that body jumping Jason. All characters have rules. Personality traits. Methods. That's what makes them who they are. That's why Jason torturing and keeping prisoners was against that. There is evolving and there is making a different character. I reviewed that remake and mentioned many of these things. How I was also against them breaking rules just to do it.

I know. I watched those cut scenes a while back for a project I'm still working on. The Part 7 uncut scenes has funny commentary.

But remember we are also talking about teenagers that are getting killed. I went by what was released on film for what I was doing then added my twists / updates and new scenes.

I'm in on that one too. My only worry is that hopefully they are getting the money for the additional time from the publisher and not out of the fan physical items money. There are a few poorly run video game Kickstarters that either delayed the physical rewards or simply forgot about them and don't even respond to questions asking about them. Thankfully I never gave them my money. But I don't think the guy behind Bloodstained is like that. The situation probably is that the game is bigger than he even expected. I bet by next year's game convention, the game will almost be finished. I still believe it will be his best game when finished.

He kept one girl as a prisoner. But did you know why he did that?
Because she looked like his mom. Which was pointed out by the main characters, when they found a photo of Pamela Voorhees, in Jasons room.

Who knows what he did to Chris, in part 3, after she passed out, since he didn't kill her.
Sometimes Jason just does something different ;)

They are still saying October. I would think they would have mentioned a delay already but who knows. It should be in beta testing by now so a delay seems likely.

Ugh look at you coming in here with that kind of logic.

    Sometimes I just want to strangle F13th fanboys a little...just a little though :)

It was never coming out in October. The only thing 'October' was the estimated delivery via kickstarter, but it has always been Fall 2016. All the news sites are getting it wrong, and will likely cause confusion and trouble for Gun down the line.

If it simply goes into beta this year, I'll be happy. I don't plan on playing the beta but it at least will mean it's closer to release.

The good news is that by the 21st of December, we should all have the game to own, as scheduling seems to be good right now. *crossing fingers*

Wow - I already bought this during the kickstarter campaign - but I am so happy they added this - I much prefer having a single player campaign even if it isn't the meat of the game. I am glad they added Tommy Jarvis as well <: If they get this even half right Ill be satisfied. So game is pushed back to Spring 2017 but the Single Player will come out Summer of 2017 - just fyi.

fyi on pricing per email they sent out:
As of today, we're happy to announce that all those who believed in the game and have already backed or pre-ordered to support the game, those individuals will receive single player for free when the game releases. No additional charges.

The new price of the game henceforth will increase from $30USD digital to $40USD digital, and the physical copy will remain priced at $60USD. We believe that digital prices should include a savings for those that purchase them, and those that want to hold a physical copy in their hands can pay more for it, since it costs more to produce, manufacture and distribute. It's logical and we at Gun Media scratch our heads when we see digital pricing for games that matches the physical pricing.

My only problem with this is its more time that something could happen to the game that would hinder its release. Something like what happened to Manhunt 2. Its already too good to be true.

Good. There should have been a single player from the beginning. I don't know what they were thinking.
