Full Moon cheated 88films twice: First 'Tourist Trap' and then 'Toxic Avenger 3'. I am sure they lost money these two. It wouldn't surprise me if 88 films didn't release any more Full Moon titles at all.

Toxic Avenger 3 is Troma, not Full Moon.

But yeah, after the Tourist Trap fiasco, everything went curiously quiet as far as 88 Films' involvement with Full Moon was concerned. They have only released perhaps a few FM titles since that happened. Trancers II was the most recent release that I know of from 88 Films, and nothing else has been announced or gone up for pre-order.

How did Full Moon cheat them?

Ah..my fault, I mixed up Troma and Full Moon. Toxic Avenger is Troma of course. Anyways in both cases 88films received masters that when already in production turned out to be cut. I don't think that Full Moon told 88films before that they will receive a cut and reedited version of Tourist Trap.

I don't know that they're done with Full Moon, just yet. 88 Films just announced their own upcoming release of Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death a couple days ago.

Yeah the commentary track for PM 3 is fantastic. I've listened to it quite a few times. Highly informative and funny too.

I agree with everyone about releasing 5 at the same time as 4. It's silly not to. Despite that I'll be picking up 4. I absolutely love the original 5 PM flicks (although I'm not a huge fan of the original I still like it)

I guess they're still in the game then. It's strange they skipped over Vampire Journals though.

It's annoying that the first Subspecies is 1080i, not remastered and looks very bad in contrast to parts 2+3. I would love a remastered boxset with all 4 movies in 1080p.

I'm pretty sure the UK version is full HD and looks great. Not sure if the disc is locked or not. Even the UK editions of 2&3 look better than the US ones if I remember correctly.

You are correct, The 88films versions of these films are all 1080p and are all region free. I would get these instead because Full Moon don't give a damn and that's a fact.

Thanks for clarifying. I was looking for screen comparisons recently for the sequels as I seem to remember seeing some that showed the picture difference well but can't remember where I saw them.
I agree that Full Moon don't care anymore as well. Even their new films just seem to be the same old shit like Evil Bong and Gingerdead Man.

I owned all 3 UK Blu Rays by 88films but sold them because part one looks bad compared to 2+3. Parts 2 and 3 are remastered but part one obviously isn't.

Charles Full Moon on Facebook has revealed the full cover for PM 4. Extras include the VideoZone behind-the-scenes featurette and an audio commentary with Jeff Burr!!!

    They also said:

"And coming soon in a few months... PM 5!"

I'll bet somebody asked him about including lossless audio on the Blu-rays and stepping into 21st century technology, and he was like "Did I lose the audio!?"

I bought Full Moon's Puppet Master Collection Vol 1 a long time ago when it was under $10 at DeepDiscount, but never got around to watching it. Used to have just the first on blu-ray, but sold it once I got the trilogy set. Wasn't expecting much, since the blu-rays of Puppet Master and Subspecies were both pretty flat. But wow, I was blown away by how good Puppet Master II looks! Can't wait to check out III, hopefully it looks just as good. I'm guessing Puppet Master and Subspecies look so mediocre because they were two of Full Moon's first blu-rays, which is a shame. If only they looked as good as PM2.

Also recorded Puppet Master 4 and 5 off El Rey during their Halloween marathon hosted by Charles Band. Will be watching both of those for the first time. Never really kept up with the Puppet Master sequels, so it should be fun finally catching up.

Full Moon should release remastered Blu Rays of Subspecies 1, Puppet Master 1 and Tourist Trap.
