Surprising, we only had a confirmation before now it's already instock! I don't recall a release date ever given. And what's interesting:
Since it was almost certainly edited on video and presumably the CGI (if you can call it that) was done in SD I have to wonder if they re-edited it. They would have to. Technically they should have logs of all the physical film used, so it's a matter of following the sheet, but they almost literally have to edit the film again.

I'm very curious what the results will be.

All right, folks. Due to my love of all things classic horror, I'm very interested in seeing Full Moon's The Creeps--the one about the miniature Golden Age Universal monsters. My suspicion that it sucks big-time isn't totally abating my desire to check it out. So, what's the scoop? Is it any good? I'd sincerely appreciate some input. It'd be a blind buy.

    Thanks in advance.

My advice to you is rent the movie first and then make your decision. That's what I do whenever I want to see if there's a movie I'll like.

So interesting tidbit from Charles Band on Facebook about the original video generated effects part in Retro Puppet Master's HD restoration:

"All the film elements were re-mastered and the special EFX were upgraded and turned from standard resolution to HD. Overall it is a combination of original and others upgraded for HD resolution. Hope that helps!"

And I'll be picking this up in one to two years during the Valentine's Day 50% sale.

And unless my eyes deceive me, with a twelfth disc call "Arcana of the Puppet Master."

With the remake on the way, perhaps Charlie's going to get sentimental with a documentary? And/or perhaps a round table with those involved?

Considering I only really enjoy the first 3 films I can easily skip this set.

All of the individual films are or will be available on Amazon for $12.95 or less, so at $250.00 you're paying roughly $110.00 for the wood trunk, a bonus disc and a tiny blade figurine.

Personally, I'd save my birthday money for something else.

I'll pass also. Considering they are also the inferior US Blu-rays, I wouldn't pay that just to get some bonus disc, figurine, and booklet.

Anyways I still have the first trunk when the first 2 Blu-rays were released.

Don't get me wrong, that's a lot of money for the set. I personally will pass. But still waiting for Sorority Babes in the Slimebowl to drop in price. Hasn't budged. I know other Full Moon's have dropped in price though.

If you are region free, just get the 88 Films' Blu-ray of Sorority Babes which is far superior. Their disc has over twice the bit-rate of the US Blu-ray.

From what I've been reading from people who have received the new trunk set, there is no Arcana of the Puppet Master disc just some randomly tossed in one? Even another trailer collection like the first boxset would be preferable!
