The ones I've received direct from them have all been BD-R's, and one has since of course rotted.

The Blu-rays sold through retailers seem to be real pressed discs though, so I refuse to buy any more direct through them.

I'll be glad to get the 88 Films Blu-ray of Subspecies, so I can replace this BD-R piece of shit.

Hey, I noticed the Puppet Master 2 BD from 88 Films has the Tourist Trap trailer included (among many others). Any chance it actually gets a full-fledged BD release (from 88 Films)? Man, I'd be all over that. :blabla:

I checked with all my Puppet Master Blu-ray releases and I-III and Axis Of Evil are factory pressed (I would've noticed a ring around the bottom of the discs if they were BD-Rs). However, Axis Rising may and I reiterate MAY be a BD-R cuz I did discovered a ring. Unless anyone can prove me wrong.

Tropical marsh, is the pitch on the UK PM II Blu corrected or does it still have the pitch problems like the US release (you need that to compare with the UK disc)? Also, is the trailer for Tourist Trap presented in HD on the UK disc or is it standard definition?

Some of the Full Moon Blu-rays have just been burned BD-R's with a pro label stuck on them. If you were one of the original ones to buy the Puppet Master (or Subspecies) Blu-ray through them, and then got the replacement with the corrected audio...chances are good that you have a BD-R.

And yes, most of the Full Moon trailers have been in actual HD on the 88 Films Blu-rays and not just old upconverts.

I love the catalog they are shipping out this month, it's a great collectors item.

I know. It even tells you who owns the rights to which Charles Band films (example being Dolls owned by MGM).

Yeah the catalog is a cool idea. I can't wait to get it with the PM 3 remastered DVD.

Who owns the rights now to Mansion of the Doomed?

You'll find out once you get the catalog won't you? ;)

In seriousness though, I checked with IMDB and it seems 905 Entertainment released a DVD in 2005 so it's possible they own it. But like I said, the catalog will tell you.

So the early "Charles Band Productions" films aren't even in the catalog? :D

905 Entertainment no longer exists that I know of, unless Trinity Home Entertainment is actually still around. The DVD they released was from a poor VHS transfer, and probably not even legit or licensed.

There was a UK DVD from Digital Entertainment that came from a film print, and looked way better.

I would kill for a TOURIST TRAP Blu. The DVD looked decent but I hope if a BD comes to fruition that they're able to use a new master. I'll probably watch it at least once a month.

The Tourist Trap trailer on the 88 Film's Blu-rays looks great in 1080p, so I would think the film would look just as nice in HD.

Anybody else loving those nice booklets 88 Films includes with the Blu-rays? Puppet Master III even included an interview with Michelle Bauer, and she discusses her porn days as Pia Snow!

So did anyone order anything from the Halloween sale thingy? I ordered 2 DVD’s and a BD and my order has been on hold for the past 2 weeks with no explanation. I even emailed them to no avail.

Fuck…I knew I shouldn’t have placed an order. I just loathe Full Moon’s customer service.

I ordered Puppet Master from Amazon UK mainly to get that catalog and to check out the HD trailers. Not a fan of these Full Moon flicks (the ones with puppets, dolls, etc). I really hope 88 Films does Tourist Trap on Blu, though.

I ordered the Puppet Master blu-ray set. It arrived about a week after I ordered it.

PM2 & 3 blus are nice! PM2 has an annoying reverb effect on the audio, but I think it was that way on the DVD as well. At any rate, it's such a revelation to see these properly mastered! I can't wait to see the rest of the series on blu-ray!

Side note, the catalog is great! However, I noticed some movies missing in their discography like Vampire Resurrection (unless I overlooked it).

The US Blu-ray only has a 5.1 track though doesn't it?

I guess that's why 88 Films only included the original lossless 2.0 track — they said something was screwed up with the 5.1 track that Full Moon handed them. I didn't notice any reverb on the 2.0 track.

The US Blu-ray of II had a pitch of a PAL master. Is the UK Blu-ray pitch corrected?

The pitch sounded perfectly normal on the UK Blu-ray to me. None of the reviews I've seen have mentioned an issue with it:

There's a 2.0 track on my bd. I switched to it. It wasn't as bad as the 5.1 mix.
