88 Films is also releasing Dollman:

    http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=10510

"Independent British distributors 88 Films have revealed that they are planning to bring to Blu-ray director Albert Pyun's horror fantasy film Dollman (1991), starring Tim Thomerson, Jackie Earle Haley, and Kamala Lopez. The preliminary release date set by the distributors is June 10th."

With all these releases, I wonder when Full Moon will announce a US counterpart for them.

Saw Dollman the other day for the first time. It took me at least five tries to get through it all. Such a shitty movie that moves at snail pace. I was surprised.

I don't think it's quite that bad, but it's definitely one of my least favorite early FM efforts.

I really wish 88 Films would release Meridian, but that might be in need of a new HD master first. I know they were asked about Tourist Trap, and Full Moon would need to strike a new HD master first.

I was going to order Meridian and Pit early this month but I glad I held off because of the recent Pit blu announcement... that move made me held of even more my desire to buy Meridian.

It's pretty bad, but then Albert Pyun is a pretty bad director. One of the worst in fact. Dollman is one of his better efforts.

And Albert Pyun studied under Akira Kurosawa too. But yeah, Dollman is better than a lot of his films. His recent film Tales of an Ancient Empire (semi-sequel to Sword & the Sorcerer) is beyond bad.

He did direct Alien from L.A. though, which I love.

I just said it was one of Pyun's better films. What more do you want?

    More damnit. MORE!!!

I agree about Pyun. He can come out with some entertaining stuff but also some REALLLLLLY bad stuff.

I'm a huge fan of Cyborg.

I expected at least entertainment from Full Moon. This one was a snoozer. It has next to no action in it and what little action it has is spread so far apart you get bored. I felt like most of it was unnecessarily padded out with music montage that made it longer than what it had to be.
If Dollman is one of his better efforts I'd hate to see his worst.

The UK Blu-ray will have The Evil Clergyman as an extra, and an exclusive Stuart Gordon interview... so I'll stick with that one.

You know, you're right. If anything this is just a re-release of the original DVD with different cover art (Full Moon mentioned in a report 2 years ago that they be re-releasing old titles with different cover art). False alarm, folks.

All 88 Films releases have been region free thus far.

I bet they won't come out next week. Full Moon has a habit of listing stuff as pre-orders on major retailers, and then they get delayed...for months. Then they come out for exclusive sale on Full Moon's web store and then later on at other retailers.

It's free advertising, pretty sneaky. They've done this more than a few times, even very recently with some Moonbeam DVD releases.
