Did it get pulled from Amazon? I can't find it. Doesn't matter - Walmart baby!
Looks like it did get pulled at Amazon, yeah...
Glad I got my order in. And it didn’t get canceled so...yeah.
Not only is it now unavailable on Amazon but the price jumped to $24.96 on Walmart. Timing is everything these days with all these price changes.
Amazon is unique in my experience. With the pre-order price guarantee, you always get the lowest price offered prior to shipping. My order still shows as valid, and it shows $18.31.
I was going to jump on the $18.31 price but by the time I saw this thread both options were already over. Had I known they were going to have such a low price I would have pre-ordered back when it was $27.
Sorry! Another great thing about Amazon is that they don't charge until items ship. Bottom line, there's no downside to pre-ordering with them. If the price never drops low enough for you, you can cancel before the item ships with no penalty. But pre-ordering will always net you those low prices that seem to randomly pop up for a few hours for reasons that never become apparent.
Wow, that's a lot of craziness! Glad I got the Walmart deal at $18.31. For once I didn't waffle. Thanks for the heads up.
It's back on Amazon.com now at $24.96 , guess they just cut the price to match the Walmart deal. It's the #1 seller in "horror".
Fuck. Missed the $18 sale. Still may bite on it anyway, because as y'all have already mentioned, they'll charge you the lowest price during the pre-order period, as long as you've placed the order. That's pretty good if you ask me. I think I pre-ordered Don't Torture a Duckling at $22 (which is still damn good) but only got dinged for like $13 'cause of a brief price drop.

I'm jazzed to get this, but I cannot fucking believe that no one has ported over the stills gallery from the old Elite laserdisc. The commentaries have (and will be on this Criterion blu), but not the stills gallery. They weren't on the "Millenium Edition" from Elite, despite Vini B. personally swearing up and down that they were.
I do not usually get excited over stills galleries as a bonus feature, but the ones from NOTLD are exceptional. Most are in full color.
I dunno, is anyone aware of the stills gallery on any DVD or Blu??
I hear you and there's no reason not to have it barring some legal thing but having the film in this shape, from CRITERION is like a dream scenario. I'm not going to nitpick this one.
Personally I stay away from still galleries. I'd prefer them as a digital download or something.
Oh yeah, but that's what I said in my original post. That I don't get excited about them as a bonus feature, but the ones on the Elite laserdisc were amazing.
That you did. I read it wrong!
Yeah, stills galleries usually hold absolutely zero interest for me, but now you've got my curiousity piqued. I wonder if they're posted anywhere on the interwebs? Google, here I come!
Thanks for reminding me. The stills on that laserdisc are excellent. I need to transfer them to my PC.
Night of the Living Dead is back down to $18.31 on Amazon.
