And they automatically knocked my pre-order down to that price. Sorry, you won't find me posting in the "Amazon sucks" thread

This was really cheap a while back on amazon so I placed a preorder. It’ll likely be $39.99 in Canada (like most Criterions) so this was actually a pretty good deal even with the shipping and exchange. Can’t wait to check out the alternate cut. I’m a little ashamed to admit this but I’ve only seen the movie in its entirety twice, and one of those two times was the colorized version. (what? The colorized version isn’t included on this release??? Lol) *dodges a shoe*

But now if someone could finally give Dawn the treatment it deserves...

Amen. Anyone who thinks Amazon sucks needs to do more business with other online vendors.

I was wondering why they dropped it back down to that exact same price, so I checked and lo and behold Walmart's back down to that too: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Criterion-Collection-Night-Of-The-Living-Dead-Blu-ray/997396665

If that does anything for anyone. Maybe Best Buy will follow suit?

Interestingly the DVD is $18.31 on Walmart.: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Criterion-Collection-Night-Of-The-Living-Dead/630708372

Did they make an inventory mistake? I bought from Walmart to use up my gift card but now I'm paranoid... Will I get sent a DVD instead?!?

I was on the fence, but at that price for a criterion I pulled the trigger on the Amazon pre-order.

I would have bought at any price. All time favorite.

No - I got shipping confirmation last night from Walmart and it says Blu for $18.31.

If they send you the DVD, just come on down The Archive in Bridgeport. They'll only bump it up $5 ;)

My indie store has both the DVD and bluray are they identical in terms of having all the features work print and stuff?

Players are pretty cheap these days. Go with the blu-ray, then save it for when you get a new player!

Especially since the DVD and blu-ray are currently the same price.

Yeah honestly. Fuck the DVD it’s 2018!

    I haven’t bought a DVD in almost a decade.

I would think the blue ray would work since I have the last firmware update I might gamble and get the bluray since it is the same price the 4 titles that wouldn't load in my bluray player are Mayhem,Jeepers Creepers 3,day of the dead bloodline and wish upon. I really hope it loads if I gamble and get the bluray?

My Sony blu-ray player is the worst one I've owned. Lasted less than two years.

Go with a different brand this time around. My $60 Panasonic has been my favorite player so far, and it's the cheapest one I bought.

Has your player had any issues with older discs? It's possible the manufacturer simply stopped supporting that model with necessary firmware upgrades.

My Sony player has been fantastic. Mind you it's a hardware modified multi-region variety...but it has played everything I've thrown at it without problems. It's on its fourth year now, and gets heavy use.

I should have my blu from Amazon tomorrow. My region free Oppo is a tank. I've had it for 4 years and it plays everything like a champ.
