    Rush Hour 3 $255,045,896 worldwide box office. I would say they made money. Not including any dvd sales.

    Films have to make double the budget to break even (this is not counting promotion, which itself could cost millions). Studios only get half of the ticket price.

    Well... not EVERY film. Code Name: The Cleaner, The New World, Little Children and the first edition of ANOES (the standalone release) have either skimpy extras or none at all.
