I'd buy this, even though I prefer the longer cuts of the two films on their own, but this would be good to have as a condensed version for when friends are over and stuff. Not to mention the hilarious trailers.

exactly i prefer the longer cuts as well but this is cool to have with the fake trailers and stuff now i wonder if the kill bill whole bloody affair will ever come out??? i kinda knew the grindhouse full movie would be released eventually here in the states but didn't know when. it is very sad this wasn't released alongside the two longer versions on dvd.

Awesome! If true, good find, fceurich. Glad we have you all over Walmart's catalog.

I prefer the Grindhouse cut of Planet Terror, but love the extended cut of Death Proof. If the theatrical cut is released w/o the extended cuts (what will be on those 3 discs, I wonder?), then I can finally buy an extended copy of DP and end my silly little one-man boycott.

Well I noticed that the DVD set is three discs while the Blu is two, so the DVD set might have the theatrical cut on one disc, with extras or the separate cuts of the films on the other two. As for the blu, I'd assume it would just be the the theatrical cut on one disc with extras on the other, unless they could have the separate cuts on the same disc via seamless branching. Who knows though. I'm surprised this hasn't been announced anywhere yet.

The runtime Wal*Mart has listed is the same amount of time as the extended cuts added together, roughly a half hour longer than the theatrical cut. Probably just a repackage with the third disc of the SD being the supplements from the second discs of each individual release on the same disc and the BR having the films and supplements on the same discs due to BR greater storage capacity.

If this is true, it's odd news indeed. The Weinstein Co. is in dire straits, finanically. I was under the impression that they weren't releasing any more Blu-rays for the time being, due to low sales.

Run time doesn't match the theatrical cut, but it does happen to match the stand alone films combined...

Good call. This is probably just a repackaging of the discs that are already out there.

They might be able to condense all of the extras from the two releases onto one disc. To the best of my recollection they weren't that jam-packed to begin with. I dunno. With no formal announcement yet, I'm questioning how legit the product page on Wal-Mart's site even is.

I really wish they could have just split the fake trailers up amongst the two separate extended releases, that way I could avoid getting this altogether, because, excluding the the fake trailers, just because I have to switch discs midway through doesn't make it any less the Grindhouse experience I had in theaters.
