I preordered it and just got an email last night saying it's processing and it's now pending on my CC.
Ordered mine from BullMoose - seems like they've had a bunch in stock at each store for about a week. Gonna roll the dice and see if it's puzzle winner
my indie record store got pieces in today for me but will have to wait until march 1st to buy it I looked at it but couldn't tell if it has a puzzle or not I doubt it though oh well
10K Bullets reviews Pieces: http://10kbullets.com/reviews/p/pieces-grindhouse-releasing-bluray-cd-combo/
Diabolik finally sent me a shipping notification this morning. It actually hasn't shipped yet but at least it's progress. People have been reporting finding copies at regional mom and pops in different areas WITH puzzles so I guess Diabolik never actually hoarded all 3,000 copies containing the puzzles. I won't lose any sleep if my copy doesn't have one but it will leave a sour taste in my mouth. Bottom line, though, this is a must-have Blu-ray set - and an early contender for BD release of the year.
Received mine today from Diabolik, and yes it did come with the puzzle. The packaging looks amazing- can't wait to watch it this weekend.
Got mine today from Diabolik as well but sadly no puzzle for me . However, I secured a copy of the VHS ( red cover version) that Cult Movie Mania is putting out and it also comes with a puzzle. It's different from the Bluray one though. I also still have a preorder for it on Amazon. I haven't decided if I should just cancel or take my chances with it. I hate not having nice things .
All this hype is intriguing me to give this another chance. I love the ending, but hated the movie. Keep the positive reviews coming regardless.
5 Reasons You Must Own Pieces on Blu-ray: http://www.blumhouse.com/2016/02/25/5-reasons-you-must-own-pieces-on-Blu-ray/
42nd street memories has been released multiple times already as an extra. So the review should say 4 reasons to buy Pieces. To act like it's some new awesome extra is laughable. Though I love it of course, I already have it!
Multiple times? Wasn't it only on the UK blu of Anthropophagus? To people who aren't region free and don't own that disc this documentary is going to be new. Looking forward to watching it.
I went through both versions on the blu-ray and worked it out. It's not just the original Spanish audio and title cards that differentiate the two versions. The director's cut has extra footage in several places... maybe seven, not counting the opening and closing credits. It's all quick and minimal stuff, and it feels like the trims were for time/pacing (there's no extra gore or anything cool). But the director's cut wasn't even on the Grindhouse DVD before, so it's still pretty cool to get it now.
I finally got Pieces in the mail yesterday. I ordered it from Best Buy and it came with the puzzle! Can't wait to watch.
I still have my Grindhouse DVD sealed and haven't watched Pieces in quite some time but I'm pretty excited for the blu to arrive. It sounds great.
