Devilfish - partly for the cool monster design, which looks a bit like this nightmarish (and thankfully extinct) animal: There's also some rather startling gore, but I won't deny that there's also quite a bit of the nostalgia factor going on for me.
Rats for me out of this motley crew. Looking forward to the Blue Underground double Blu ray with Hell Of The Living Dead.
As much as I love Fatal Games and Rocktober Blood, I threw an underdog vote to Movie House Massacre. That movie is so funny and so entertaining.
Wow. For once, here's a poll I can't vote on because I haven't seen ANY of the films on the list aside from Death Warmed Up, which I didn't like at all.
Ninja III: The Domination. I'm a big fan of Cannon Films & this was one of my favorites. I also like Monster Dog, but Cannon wins this round for me with ease.
Monster Dog has way better production value than you think it did if you've managed to see anything other than the old VHS tape.
Hills Have Eyes, and plenty of flashbacks too ! Even the dog has a flashback, what a hoot this movie was ! It could have been a great sequel, but it just falls into the so bad it's good category. Monster Dog is a close second.
Netflix: Watch Instant, of course, had the whole MGM HD 9 yards and - maybe I had my expectations (read: standards) lowered by having seen Crawlspace and Spellcaster right before it - that movie blew me away, a little bit. I didn't vote for it because it's a solid 6/10 movie. Starts out too slow but gets a lot better as it goes along. If that decent copy of the movie were given a real DVD/BR release, I think more people would see that. This movie certainly has more to offer than many of the endless slasher sequels in certain diminishing-quality franchises.
Toss up between Ninja III (Ninjas. On. Golf. Carts.) and The Prey. Went with the film with the better tagline ("It's not human, and it has an axe.") Still laugh at that.
