I was really disappointed by Cellar Dweller when I finally got to see it on the Scream Factory 4-pack. For some reason I had moderately high expectations for it.

976-EVIL, Ghoulies II, and Black Roses all qualify, and I could have easily seen myself voting for them, but The Unholy is ultimately the one I went with. For a movie with such a respectable cast and high-quality production values to end with a creature and climax that stupid, it absolutely fits the bill as a guilty pleasure.

Agreed with Ghoulies II. A superior horror sequel that makes great use of its setting, too.

I'm rewatching Ghoulies 2 soon but it's never lived up to my expectations.

The genre still needs a definitive carnival / amusement park horror film.

This was a tough choice between Ghoulies 2 and Slugs. Slugs has some great gooey effects, but in the end I went with Ghoulies 2 as it delivered everything that was missing from the first film, mainly lots more of the Ghoulies. The carnival setting was just icing on the cake. I too love Ghoulies Go to College though, need to rematch them again to say which is the best of the series.

I went with Flesheater.....I love Hinzman's vicious gore and tone, although there is definitely some weak acting on display!

For me, Ghoulies 4 was the only one of the franchise that came close to a 6/10.

Slugs (ew, gooey!!), Cellar Dweller (just watched it for the first time and loved it!), Poltergeist III (hated it before but just re-watched it and enjoyed it a lot), Flesh Eating Mothers (I enjoy it every time I watch it)....but had to vote Zombi 3. I watch it every October and I love it!

Quite a few to choose from. I choose Black Roses.
