A list of Feature Films tagged "Horror" not rated higher than 4.9/10 (IMDb) released in 1998. These are the 20 most "popular" titles based on voting counts in this category.

Went with Strangeland. Dig it quite a bit.

Of the ones I've actually seen here, I can't say that I really liked any of them. Razor Blade Smile is probably the one I like THE LEAST, though. Man, that movie sucks canal water! It seems to me that from the late 90's and onwards, bad movies stopped being enjoyable. Call it the nostalgia factor, but I can't come up with a single movie from the late 90's and onward with an IMDB popular rating of lower than 5 that I like.

Agreed. The early 1990s still had that old school 1980s campy feel. Late1990s and onward, things got more bad without much redeeming cheese.

Species II is a very interesting movie. I saw most of it. And think I'd like to try it again.

But I voted for I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. Predictably.
