Got it at 95$ at amazon.ca in July.
Is there any chance at all for H6 P cut and H20 SE discs in this set to be released individually in the future?
I highly doubt it. It would be interesting to know. I ordered the Deluxe because there are other extras that are included only in the Limited Deluxe Edition. I just wonder how limited, and if each one is numbered.
Don't quote me on this, but I could have sworn I heard somewhere that the deluxe edition box sets are limited to 10,000.
I'm curious as to why you think this. I just assumed that they would, given the packaging and the less rabid fans who won't buy the entire set for one or two discs. The bonus disc I see being specific to the box set, but they're insane if they don't eventually go after all that extra money they could make off single releases.
I'm sure Shout!'s original plan in sub-licensing H6, H20, and HR from Lionsgate was to produce stand-alone Scream Factory Collector's Editions, just like their ones for H2 and H3. I'm sure they will still do so, once the hubbub over this box set has died down. After all, we need something for next Halloween, don't we?
i did not mean they would be 1080i, just that they will be the same but all now 1080p and correct aspect ratios, as ive sai earlier
There are new extras that they are adding. Not sure if it's on both or not. I almost purchased the 35th Anniversary Blu-Ray when it came out, but I didn't. After reading the extras and what others have said that the first disc in the deluxe edition is the same features. If in fact it is only 10,000 units, that not a lot available. It will be interesting to see if the set sells out before September 23rd.
The way I understand it is that Shout can't release 6-8 individually as Lionsgate owns the rights to do that.
So does anyone have a link that states it may only be 10,000? Just wondering where that was heard at or seen at
I don't think the deluxe set is limited at all. Shout probably only has the rights to this for a few years, maybe less, but I've not heard anything from them suggesting the set is limited.
Amazon and most other sites list the 15 disc set as the "Limited Deluxe Edition".
The 10 disc version is not limited, just until their license runs out I presume.
Yea but that's Amazon. Their info is usually the last you should go by as they take forever to correct wrong listing info.
I know most folks hate the RZ Halloweens but I half enjoy them both- I am bummed though that the versions I find superior seem to be not included in this set. RZ's Halloween Theatrical cut is the one I prefer and RZ's Halloween II Directors Cut I prefer (although I like the ending a bit better in the theatrical). So it seems from what I am seeing so far Ill be getting just the opposite. Was hoping the Deluxe set would have both. Ah well. Ill never understand why RZ only released the Director's cut version on blu ray for the first one but at least I still have my VUDU copy of the theatrical cut.
You can get the Canadian Alliance double feature blu-ray of RZ's Halloween 1 & 2. Both are the theatrical cuts.
I didn't know that - thanks for the heads up <:
Do you have a link? The picture on the Amazon site shows that the second one is the Director's Cut.
It's not the DC. That is a misprint. I bought mine off ebay. The actual cover looks like the one I attached.
Wow, what an unfortunate mistake on Amazon's part, especially in light of the new box set!!! They could really be moving these!!!
