I scanned through it too and thought it would be something really cool to put on at a Halloween party. It's never a bad thing to support up and coming indy filmmakers too! You can tell they put a lot of effort into it.

The WNUF thing reminds me a lot of Ghostwatch, which was actually a live (but fake) broadcast done on BBC. They've only aired it once and caused quite a bit of controversy and possibly one suicide. You can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghostwatch and watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHVqzRyaByM.

It's really well done and one of my Halloween favorites. And also on my list below.

I don't have a set list for Halloween as it all depends on who ends up being over. But the staples for the season are:

    1. Ghostwatch
    2. Lady in White
    3. Tenant
    4. Either Black Sabbath or Kill Baby Kill
    5. There's usually a Corman/Price film in there. Usually Tomb of Ligeia or Masque of Red Death. Though I have been grooving on The Haunted Palace a lot recently
    6. Return of the Living Dead
    7. Session 9
    8. Pumpkinhead
    9. Ringu
    10. Paranorman

Infact, there was a in-joke pertaining to Ghostwatch IN Coronation St. A whole ago. I'll see if I can find the link...

Cool to see some lists and get some Halloween movie ideas. Here are some of my favorite movies to watch during October. Some of them I love and others just have a great fall or Halloween feel to them that makes the season even better.

    10) Monster House

    9) Trick or Treat (Sammi Curr rock on...guilty pleasure)

    8) Dark Night of the Scarecrow: goes perfect with the fall time of year

    7) The Funhouse: makes me think of a grungy old fall carnival in my town back in the
    day

    6) Motel Hell: doesn't seem to fit into a Halloween mode and although I like it it isn't
one of my favorite movies, but for whatever reason I always watch it
    every October.

    5) The Wolf Man (original): I love the setting and atmosphere.

    4) Halloween 4: first Halloween I saw in the theater so it has fond memories, plus it
brought Michael Myers back in the fold

    3) House of 1000 Corpses: I love the Halloween/fall feel to it

    2) Halloween H2O: for whatever reason I really enjoyed this movie, a fun ride

    1) Halloween (original): no need to explain...I watch it every October 31st

I just bought it as well, $30 shipped to Canada . I have been hearing good things about it and been meaning to grab it so... what better time than now. I'm sure I'll get a kick out of it so I'm not too worried.

HA! No way, that's funny. :)

Watching it now. It's very well done for a TV production from the 90's (even going so far as debunking their own evidence). Paranormal Activity was no doubt inspired by this.

    From imdb:

"A novelty-salesman moves his family into a new house. Initially dismissing incidents as more of their father's practical jokes, the family soon learns that the house is haunted by people who lived in the house 300 years previously."

Yeah, it's works better as a kid. But it's a Disney favorite and a lot of people seem to like it. It was for it's time kinda scary for kids. John Astin is in it. I know for years there have petitions to bring this thing to DVD, so there's a audience for it.

It's hard to find.(you would have to have had taped from TV) But you can watch it on youtube for free or Amazon Instant has it rent or buy. But much better quality. In fact just this July is when Amazon had this movie available for the first time ever. Bloody Disgusting had an article about it. but still no dvd. I would love a double feature HD special edition myself.

There was a thread about the movies.

Give it a try. It's only 45 minutes long.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3IJ8OAw9FI

and then they Disney made Bride of Boogedy which was a longer hour in a half movie.

Starting May 23rd, it's no longer an exclusive. You can preorder the DVD through mainstream retailers.

Better yet, it's currently only $13.53 on Amazon.com.
