Can we have a link to this please? Universal's own website makes no mention of this - but then again they make no mention of any Bluray release!

I smell bullshit. Until I see a concrete source, I wouldn't be getting your hopes up. There is nothing online that even comes close to mentioning it.

It would definitely help if the original user who posted the news listed where they got the source from...

All I could find on a web search was multiple sites listing this as their main source: http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/24592

My source is Universal directly. When you see the news posted on bluray.com or some other "reputable" website later this week, then maybe you won't doubt me. I don't understand why people are so quick to scream BS when I have been a loyal horrordvds poster for 10 years and am just trying to share some good news with my favorite website. Why would I make something like this up?

The Terror in the Aisles documentary raises a red flag simply because it contains clips from various horror films which Universal would need to secure individual rights to to include on their product, which seems like an awful amount of work for Universal to invest in just to include as an extra on the release of a title which they have a history of not giving a shit about. I'm just wondering how you're the first to know and you mention that you've seen the cover so I'd be curious to see it as well. Believe me, I want this to be true more than anyone else, I just like concrete info before I get my hopes up is all. I'm not attacking you personally in any way, but usually if something is too good to be true, especially when read on the internet, it usually is. If it turns out this is legit, which I sincerly hope it is, I will gladly admit my wrong and personally apologize.

I'm pretty sure,by what i remember, that all the movie clips that are part of Terror in the aisles are movies owned by Universal.I remember Jaws,Halloween 2,An American Werewolf In London, were in that movie.Maybe i'm wrong, maybe not!!;)UPDATE!!I just checked on IMDB and you are right, there's clips from other movies like Friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.Sorry!!!

Some cable airings of TERROR IN THE AISLES replaces some scenes with Universal films. I recall seeing THE FUNHOUSE replacing (oh, shoot which scenes???? I can't recall because I caught it late at night and seeing THE FUNHOUSE's best scene of the monster/Amy in the basement blew me away) a few scenes. If it's the film, expect more Universal films to replace films they no longer have rights to. I don't mind...as long as they replace the crime films section! I hated seeing Terror at the cinema and everyone booed because the middle half wasn't scary at all.
    anyway, we shall see.
I can't wait for both films on Blu!

This (almost) exact package was announced for dvd years ago and all we got was a new cover and a 16X9 bare-bones dvd when it was said and done. I'm skeptical yet hopefull.

Maybe the Terror in the Aisles isn't the flick we're all thinking of, but a bad name for new featurette?

Does it help any that DIGITAL BITS just posted this?: "First, Universal has set Halloween II for release as a 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray Disc on 9/13. Extras will include an alternate ending and the Terror in the Asles documentary. Audio will be DTS 5.1."

Not to sound ungrateful, but I was really hoping the footage shot for television would be included.

Maybe the deleted scenes are being included and TheDigitalBits forgot to mention it.

The saddest part about both of these releases is that Red Shirt Pictures shot and edited several interviews for both films. They offered them to Universal but they turned them down.
