Not sure if I interpreted this correctly but it seems to say that Universal will be releasing Halloween II and III on Blu-Ray this October but without any extras even though they exist.

I will pick these up, but only if I find them for $10 a piece. I would not pay $20+ for either one.

Hopefully they will at least include trailers. Still bought in a heartbeat either way! III is my favorite sequel. Now all we need is 4 and 5 on blu. Anchor Bay I'm looking at you.

As long as they release 'em in HD, I don't care about the extra features. Sure, it would be super nice if an audio commentary(s) or new featurette(s) were included, but I can live without them.

Agreed, I just want both to be released. Extras would be nice, but not a deal killer for me. Much as I enjoy II, I have to say that III is my personal favorite.

If we get new SE DVD releases of these two, I'll buy them in heartbeat.

Disappointed there's no features (again), but will probably upgarde this time as I still only have the non-anamorphic GoodTimes discs for both.

I have yet to own Halloween III on disc so that is an easy buy for me and I like II enough to upgrade. I would like extras, but if the price is right, a barebones disc won't bother me too much as long as the A/V is good.

A couple of guys shoot some interviews and expect Universal to bow down before them? It's a nice thought but who could truly be surprised Universal passed on it?

I bet the transfer's will be exactly the same as the ones we already got. expect it will say blu-ray on it. Don;t expect it to look like THE THING! which i thought was a great looking upgrade on blu.

If you want H2 & 3 extras, pick up the H25 documentary and a bootleg of the TV edit of H2, then you'd be set!

"Season of the Witch" is a far,far better flick than Halloween II.

Ill probably buy it when its $15 or less.

I cant wait to hear it in DTS-HD.

That's your personal opinion. As much as one may enjoy the atmosphere and originality of HIII, its internal logic collapses badly several times. HII has it share of issues too (not as bad, though), but I prefer it on the grounds that it is more suspenseful. Easily one of my favourite horror movies, and I'm looking forward to seeing it on blu. But extras would have been nice

HII is horrible. Will grab III though.

The Halloween series is certainly popular enough to justify Special Edition releases. If they're not going to include any extras, they should at least package them together as a double feature (like the most recent DVD). Otherwise, I will gladly pass on these unless they're super cheap.

If you're not going to be waiting outside of Best Buy before they open on the first day of this release then I will be disappointed. :)
