If Sony can release multiple versions of an uncut Hostel, I don't see why this film isn't qualified for the same treatment.

I'd even commit to renting it again if it's released uncut.

I'm afraid to spoil it for anyone, but all the circulating versions claiming to be uncut are exactly the same as the VHS version. I purchased a Japanese subtitled version that was supposedly uncut, and it most definitely is not.

Video Screams and all the other places that used to sell this con job had to cease because customers realized they were being ripped off.

Read the article in my first post. John Dunning seems to think it does exist which is the main reason I started this.

Damn I'd LOVE to see this uncut. I always liked this one more than My Bloody Valentine, to be honest. As much as I'm happy that MBV got an uncut release, I'd much rather have this one uncut.

And about that...I'd probably want them to include both. The same people are credited as having produced the score, so it is quite possible that this was a pre-release score for the film that was inevitably scrapped and replaced with the "theatrical" score we're all familiar with.

I agree. HBTM is just a lot easier to watch for me. The end was a little confusing though, and at times I thought it was going to go in more of a Sci-fi direction.

Might have been a workprint thing. I can't go back and change the petition so just add it in your comment when you sign.

You can email them to. I'll try and find out the email address.

I bought the region 2 DVD, you can listen to the original soundtrack but you have to watch the movie in German dialogue.Although its a great soundtrack ( Ive never heard the new one) The German dialogue is a bit hard to swallow.

It's a healthy start considering I haven't been posting it everywhere.
