That was me, and that scene was intentionally supposed to be funny.

When you mention spoof, I was thinking the same thing. I actually was saying as I was watching the movie, that this kinda reminds me of Scary Movie. But not as extreme.

For those living in the Southern Indiana / Northern Kentucky area, the drive-in at Georgetown, IN will be showing Hatchet this upcoming weekend, along with Friday the 13th part 7. Kane Hodder will be there on Saturday night to sign autographs.

They didn't build a legend as much as they thought they did. It was too close to Friday the 13th which to me says, "We wish Kane was still playing Jason" more than anything. Good gore though and some cool kills.

Are all the versions on the net cut versions? Didn't seem to be but if there's more I'm in. I'll hold on to this burn until the real dvd comes out, sucks this didn't get a screen anywhere close to me.

Sounds good, glad it's hitting DVD so soon. I've been looking forward to seeing this thanks to all the talk on here.

This movie wasnt to bad.It reminded me of old school 80's slashers.Tit's and gore and comedy.I didnt even know this movie was in theatres and had read something about it online and ended up seeing the last show played near me @ 9:50 with my sister in law a few weeks ago. (I had to get out of my PJ's,sad I know)
I'm looking forward to an uncut version.
I did think an asian man faking an asian accent was hilarious....
Good movie for what it was.

Oh sweet pure slasher goodness tastes so good going down. I LOVED it! It was everything I was hoping it would be. Not disappointed at all, too busy smiling. I was surprised to see a bit of a Halloween theme in there too, making it a perfect fit for my October horror marathon. Good form, hope they do another one. I will pick up the DVD when it hits for sure.

Could you tell me where that "Hatchet" bust is available? I looked on the "Sideshow Collectibles" website and couldn't find anything.

whow! I totally want to know where the bust came from also... I hope the sequel bring more commercial potential to hatchet or cult following enough to spawn some action figures, I'd sure love to have victor crowley... he's far far away from being a horror icon (hype is really bad sometimes, and you can't name something Iconic...what the hell?! aint it cool... yep), but it'd sure be fun to keep it on the shelf.

The bust was made by Jeremy Bohr and he has only done 3. He indicated he may make more in the future........................Larry

According to the weekly ad on Circuit City's website, they will be selling an exclusive 2 disc special edition:

Also for anyone interested, it appears that they have a bonus disc for Rob Zombie's Halloween as well:

Definitely picking up that Halloween DVD at CC, though Best Buy has a nice collectible cover on theirs. I want to see Hatchet really bad, but I don't know if I'll do a blind buy. I might rent it instead. Halloween will be a blind buy, but I have the whole series already, so I'll splurge!

Just got done watching it and was disappointed. This movie isn't the next great thing in horror, it's all the stuff we've seen before but not done as well.

Not sure if this is an error or not, Deep Discount may change the price very soon, but I came across this

    Hatchet + T-shirt for $16.40 (reg. 43.90)

Might want to order it quick in case it's a pricing error
