Boston folk...this is playing the Brattle Theater this weekend.
Looks like I'm going to the 10pm showing tonight. Whether this turns out to be entertaining or not I'm looking forward to it, because I hardly ever get out to the cinema anymore. Maybe once or twice a year.....
This will be showing in Philadelphia on Saturday, June 5th. Here's a flier:
That flier is AWESOME!! Almost better than the original poster!
Super digging that flier! How can it be had?
It was among the usual assortment of ads that came with my last DiabolikDVD order; by the looks of it I'm guessing it's just something someone printed twice per sheet on a laserjet printer and then cut in 1/2 because it's approximately 4" x 11". Still, if I already had a frame and mat laying around this would probably be in it!
Saw it with a packed hausu last night in Philly.
Words cannot describe.
Makes Exorcist II look downright lucid.
Can't wait for the DVD.
This'll be playing at the Keene State College Putnam Theater in NH in September. Saw this via nefarious means last year, and can't wait to see it with an ususpecting audience on the big screen!
You're so cool, Kung Fu.
"Faaantaaaaa!! Mmmmm yummy!" *bites Fanta's ass*
I will be seeing this tonight in Atlanta for the first time - I am looking forward to it!
I read somewhere that this was coming out on DVD on September 7th, but haven't heard anything since, so I assume that was BS?
You must mean in R1? The uk release is sold by Diabolikdvd.
Nope, Criterion is releasing it on Sept 7th.
I read somewheres that it's playing in select theatres through janus films before criterion releases it at some point at the end of the year.
It just played about a week ago at the AFI SILVER THEATER in Maryland.Sadly I wasn't able to attend.
QTF, it's at the bottom of this article.
That article is from April, and Criterion has already announced their September titles without any mention of this. In a few days they'll announce their October titles, maybe it'll be on that schedule.
Saw this last night and loved it as did the rest of the audience. Everyone was laughing, cheering and everyone clapped at the end. There was a great turn out at the theatre. The movie itself, wow, it was so absurd, wacked-out, surreal, wicked, and very, very amusing. It was very rich aesthetically and had really interesting camera work. Would definitely recommend to fans of Dario Argento and Michele Soavi.
I will definitely pick this up whenever criterion releases this.
The things I saw of it, definitely looked weird enough for me to be slightly interested
