All 80s horror were teeny-bopper flicks!
Freddy all the way!!
I like Friday the 13th, but I love NOES. I used to watch them when I was around 12 with a couple of friends.
Wow. this race is getting closer
i'll add this ,i love friday the 13th, it happens to be my favorite horror film and the catalyst for which gave me love for these types of films , BUT if i were to recommend one over the other i would recommend nightmare on elm street first , so go figure that one out.....................
I voted for Nightmare on Elm Street, because pound for pound, I feel it's the more creative of the two.
Nightmare on Elm Street.
I agree Nightmare is more creative, but I like Friday the 13th more, and I think it has the better sequals as well. I remember Friday was always a fun movie for me, while Nightmare scared the crap out of me. But now, Nightmare's special effects seem so dated and it doesn't scare me at all. Cool premise, but I think it is a move that could use a new sequal/ remake with better effects (and NO! I don't mean CG).
Definitely Nightmare on Elm Street for me. I love the Friday the 13th franchise, but part I doesn't do anything for me. Parts 2, 3, 4, 5 and Jason X are me big favorites. On the other hand, I love NOES, but all the sequels don't do anything for me.
I love them both, but have to go with Friday by a nose. I saw Friday at the theaters when it came out in 1980.
Nostalgia aside, NOES wins easily. At least it is inventive! I dig Jason, I own the Box Set but the original is little more than a remake of BAY OF BLOOD, lets not forget that.
So, Nightmare wins? What a battle this is!
It seems that with my vote on Friday i just even out the scores
A Nightmare On Elm Street.
A Nightmare on Elm Street.
I think the Friday the 13th movies work in harmony with one another. And they're like Lays potato chips. You can't watch just one in a row. The Nightmare series movies are more different from each one to the next, that the first movie really works apart from the sequels.
