Looks different phisically anyways, something different in comparison with him when appears in DVD interviews apart from his look.

I had a great time, as usual, but I still haven't met anyone here. We rolled in Saturday for when it opened. We got our bracelets and went directly to the truck to drink a bunch of beer. Some dude dressed as Shaun from Shaun of the Dead got out of his car and I was like "Hey, you have a spot of red on you!" and he smiled. Now some people might wonder who the hell wouldn't know who Shaun was, but I saw a couple of uneducated people that day. One of them was really bad. I'll get to that in a second. So we drank a bunch of beer and went back in. I didn't need too much signed, especially since Ted Raimi wasn't there, but I got a few things. I got my Book of the Dead signed by Hal Delrich. He is fucking cool as shit. My buddy and I love Scotty, and he was digging all the Scotty shit we were saying, so that was very cool. I also met Reggie Bannister again. I make it a point to meet the guy anytime he's there. I picked up one of his CDs. I try to shake hands with people, even if I can't buy something. I picked up one of those zombie kits that Fangoria had. The guy told me there's only 1500 of them made. I had Savini sign it for the hell of it. I think we went to Bertucci's at this point and gorged on some awesome pizza. We got back and started drinking again. We caught the Man With the Screaming Brain flick and it was pretty cool. I was drunk, so I didn't keep up with the whole thing, but it was cool. Sunday we rolled in about 10am to get in line for Bruce. I'm glad we were all the way in the fucking back because that line was long as shit. Bruce's new book was only $20. That's a steal. I mentioned to him that I got his last book a one of his book signings. After explaining where it was, he said, in typical Campbell fashion, "I remember it as if it were yesterday." He opened my Book of the Dead (which has the first two blank pages drawn in by Sullivan) and was like "Holy hell!" After that I got in the Scrimm line. I met Angus and Don and talked to them for a few. Don told me he has some family in Pittsburgh. I only purchased a picture for Angus to sign (which includes something else you brought), but Don ended up signing my Phantasm DVD for me after Angus did. He was like "Would you like me to sign that, too?" I'm like shit, here! That was pretty cool. When I left I was like "Thanks, Tall Man!" and they both got a chuckle out of that. Oh, about the one specific uneducated person. I was in the Phantasm line and some dude was getting his Book of the Dead signed and Bruce asked the guy why he has Savini's autograph in there. He told the dude it was Sullivan, not Savini. I would have felt so fucking stupid. And Bruce got into to funny shit with the Evil Dead chicks. They started yelling back and forth. Bruce told Reggie to take them out at one point. It was really cool. I thought for sure Dan would have come up to me at some point, but like I said, I didn't meet anyone.

Damn Mortis, I didn't see you at all.
What zombie kit are you talking about? I must have missed that dammit. Do you have any pics of it?
We were outside watching Man With The Screaming Brain also. We were sitting near the front by that skylight or vent or whatever that was sticking up from the roof. Where were you sitting?
We ate at Bertuccis Saturday afternoon and it was pretty good. Thanks for recommending it to us.

Ok I just checked fangoria's site, is this the zombie kit you are talking about?

We were sitting along the railing in the back where all those steps are. What did you get at Bertucci's? We've always gotten the Ultimate Bertucci pizza. And that is the zombie kit. The dude selling it was on the same wall as Savini and he was also selling fake blood that came in the form of glue sticks. Reggie also signs stuff that you bring for free.

And here's a few more. :D The last one is from last year. And yes, that's a custom Sullivan smudge on the left side.

Wow, I really should have had that book of the dead signed. Next time if they are there again the Evil Dead cast will be my top priority.

We had the masterpiece pizza at Bertuccis with pepperoni and sausage. my wife doesn't like onions and peppers on her pizza. :( Those tirimasu martinis they served were outstanding although a little pricey.

Reggie wouldn't sign anything for me unless I gave him $10. I went up to him Friday and asked if he would sign the Phantasm ball and he said sure for $10. I asked if he would sign the Phantasm dvd and he said that would be $10 more so I just skipped getting the dvd signed that day. I thought he would have signed the ball for free because Coscarelli said he would sign it for free since it cost so much. Saturday I bought a shirt from Reggie and asked again if he would sign my dvd thinking it would be free since I just bought a shirt from him but he asked for another $10 to sign the dvd. I thought he was pretty cool but felt he could have given me a little break on the autographs.

Tom drew all of that for $20, the three Evil Dead ladies were $5 each, Ash was free more or less and Scotty was $5. Not bad. The Ultimate Bertucci is just four different kinds of pizza in one. I've never had a problem getting Reggie to sign shit I brought, so that's news to me. Good thing I didn't spring $40 for that Phantasm 'Cuda in the dealers room then. You need to post a pic of that Phantasm ball. I know you like to show everyone your balls, but let's see the Phantasm one!

wow, I'm glad I got him to sign all my Phantasm stuff back when he was free. This charging for autographs stuff is out of hand. Now, before you say, "Hey, they have to make money too", all celebrities are paid for their appearances at these cons. They get an appearance fee, but for some reason that's not enough for them.
OK, sure, some people will re-sell the stuff on E-bay, but that has to be such a minority. You can tell that 99% of the people at cons are fans.

The only autograph I've gotten in the last two years has been Patrick McDonnell (artist of the Mutts comic strip), even though there have been lots of celebs I like at the cons I've gone to.

By the way Dan, show a photo of the Battle Royale disc ya got. I admire that you avoided the bootleg tables (why don't cons kick these people out??), but BR is one of the most bootlegged titles...hope you got a legit copy.

I got the Battle Royale 2 disc dvd from the Poker industries table. It is the Starmax region 0 NTSC one.

I found out last night that the extras are in Jap language with no English subtitles which kinda sucks but at least I can see the movie now.
It was crazy with all the bootlegs around. I was tempted to buy a Let's Scare Jessica To Death bootleg and a Blood and Lace bootleg dvd from the Kim's table. I have heard Luna and a few others mention Kim's in New York before so I was considering getting them since they seemed a little more legit but finally decided to pass on the boots.

My spoils from the convention were as follows:

    Street Trash
Haute Tension (Uncut Region 3) Eh, had the cash so I said what the hell.
    Day of the Dead t-shirt
Porno Holocaust (My girlfriend talked me into buying this, I'm dead serious)
Halloween sweat shirt (won from the AB table for knowing Sam Raimi directed Crimewave in 1985)
Trauma (won from the AB table for knowing Dario Argento co-wrote Once Upon a Time in the West)

Didn't splurge as much as I did last year, but I'm satisfied.

If I would have had $160 to even think about burning on one thing, I would have bought one, too.

You could make your own, but you'll be losing the autographs.

Hmmmm, if I remember right, there used to be a page at www.phantasm.com that showed how to make a heavy-duty all-out sphere, but that page is missing now. :(

Here are some other pages, but they take the Christmas ornament approach:
