And here are pics of what I bought or had signed:
Hey, just got done watching it and have to say I thought it was great! There were some pretty cheesy moments, so it was a lot of fun, but at the same time it took itself quite seriously and was very involving. Also, Lenzi's camerawork is top-notch here. Yes, I'm certainly glad I bought this one.
Nice pics everyone.
Damn Pilato got huge, at first glance he kinda looked like Shatner.
heres some of my goodies I got autographed:
I got more stuff but I only have the EFNY laserdisc and the Dawn poster framed thus far.....
I went to Orlando for a week direct from Horrorfind, but I had a great time there. Here's my brief recap:
Couldn't meet Romero. Line was way too long.
Joe Pilato is a loud obnoxious drunk.
Gary Klar was cool as hell, but loud and drunk.
Lori Cardille was high on a handful of painkillers. She wanted to marry me. She didn't charge me for the autographs.
Anthony DiLeo was a miserable SOB who had no interest in being there.
Gaylen Ross also wasn't really interested in the convention thing, but she was happy to see everyone again.
David Emge was nice. So was Scott Reiniger.
I met Kane Hodder for the first time. It was cool to meet him, but I didn't have anything to say. Kyra remembered me from last year. Dee Wallace Stone was great as always.
I stayed for about 20 minutes of the costume contest, it was too hot and crowded in there. Didn't meet anyone from here there, but still had a blast for the few hours I was there. Ken Foree let me play with his Dawn of the Dead: Ultimate Edition. The only thing I bought was the Zombie 25th Anniversary DVD (which I haven't found in a store yet). I also grabbed Chopping Mall while I was in Orlando.
The only advice I'd give them for next year is to get celebrities that are actually eager to meet with fans. I felt extremely uncomfortable after talking with Gaylen Ross and Anthony DiLeo. Maybe they were just overwhelmed at the time. I almost felt like I was inconveniencing them by talking to them.
I word of advice on my part......get there on Friday......and wait in the Romero line early on, thats what we did and it paid off.
...the last one is the closest thing I have to a pic of me with Romero... *sigh*.
You should post that pic of Gaylen on DVD Maniacs... they're wondering what she looks like.
Thanks guys for letting those of us who can't make it to these events in on the action (as much as possible at least).
And Sid Haig sounds so cool!
