I thought it would be an interesting idea to have a thread devoted to all films that are "Hospital / Doctor" themed horror movies.

It doesn't matter, good or bad. More obscure the better. Anything that involves a horror movie centered around a hospital or doctor. Discussion & thoughts on these films. Pictures of the posters / box covers & trailers would be great too.

Like Halloween II & Re-Animator would be some obvious examples.

    I'll start with one:

    Dr. Giggles (1992)

    Trailer:

I never forget when Larry Drake was doing promotion for this film, and the day he was on The Arsenio Hall Show. They showed a clip, I think it was the part where Drake shoved that big sharp thermometer in the girls mouth. Arsenio looked so creeped out by that. It was a great reaction shot, like after the clip he looked disgusted that Drake was proud of being in this film. In other words Arsenio didn't find the scene funny, and neither did the audience. Did anybody see or remember that appearance?

I haven't seen Dr. Giggles in way too long. This gives me some incentive to revisit it.

Rosenthal's HII and Re-Animator are two personal favorites. Visiting Hours and X-Ray are also worth seeking out if you need a hospital horror fix. Visiting Hours offers the rare pleasure of William Shatner and Michael Ironside in the same cast. Shatner's role is relatively small. But Ironside is front and center as the killer. X-Ray is probably most memorable for Playmate Barbie Benton's spectacular nudity. Strangely enough both films were released in 1982.

For some reason Dr. Butcher M.D. comes to mind, however I think it had very little to do with actual doctors/hospitals and was more a zombie or cannibal film, it was Italian anyhow.

^ If you want to check out The Immortalizer, it is available in HD on streaming Netflix. A lot of the reviews and comments I've seen seem to hate it, but I thought it was a lot of fun.

Don't really care for either of these, but The Rejuvenator and Severed Ties fit the description.

Also, I've never seen it, but doesn't Cold Prey 2 take place in a hospital? I've heard it is a direct rip-off of Halloween II, so I assumed that it did.

And the mention of Dark Asylum made me think of Doom Asylum.

Plus, the German slashers Anatomie and Anatomie 2. I never saw the sequel, but I really enjoyed the first.

I remember this as a really bad film, sort of like if Ed Wood did gore films. If I remember correctly, they did not even film a proper conclusion?

    Dead Sleep is another:

It's not that great of a film, but it does have Linda Blair.

    There's also Horror Hospital – but it's a Horror/Comedy hybrid:
