I remember seeing this late at night on an old ratty video with my friend back when i was 13 years old (1993). It really gave us the creeps. Anyways, I have searched online for it and can't find it. Has anyone seen this on DVD at all ??

DEAD DUDES IN THE HOUSE? Troma fucking blows, a title like that is another reason for me to think so.

I wasn't talking about the movie dude, I was talking about the name change. Troma blows, that is the worst title I have ever heard!

hehe, the title is very bad you're right. LoL. So Trauma has a bad rep for pulling shit like this ? The title does not even fit in with the movie. They should have called it "Dead Granny in the House" or something :)

    sorry for the misundertsanding.

I just noticed this is now listed with yet another new title at IMDb, as "The Dead Come Home". They also changed the year of release again, from 1988 to 1991 to 1989.
Anyway, I wish there was a better DVD release. Fun film but the Troma DVD sucks.

Watched this last night (as Dead Dudes In The House). Spurts of it were really fun. The evil granny stuff was genuinely creepy, don't think I've seen a granny with a chainsaw since Tales From The Crypt "Television Terror".

That said, the budget was a bit of a hindrance. The entire movie was filmed inside a rundown old mansion, and the ugly interiors make it really tough to look at after a while. Seems like a petty complaint, but it felt like watching the same scene over and over. It became a struggle to get to the end.

Always loved this movie. I did not find it drab at all considering the budget. Lot of good kill scenes.
