Lately, I've been finding lots of good used lasers around and was wondering......... How much could I buy a player for? I dont want to spend a lot, just get a good enough player so I can buy lots of movies not available on DVD yet that I NEED. Anyone know of good places to buy one?

Mid-level players go pretty cheap on E-bay, $100-$200. You don't want a real cheap player, since some players are not very good at all.

If you see any on E-Bay that interest you, post 'em here and I'll tell you if they're any good.

Best simple advice, buy a Pioneer player with a model number that begins with "CLD-D"

I picked up a plain vanilla Pioneer player circa 1990-91 for $20 on ebay. Works pretty good, no problems with it yet.

I Paid $120 for my Pioneer CLD-504 (which seems to be a very common player) and haven't had any trouble with it yet.
