What type of horror do you have the hardest time getting into.

Pick as many as you like.

I can´t stand Troma and Fake Snuff (If that´s how you call garbage like Slaughtered Vomit Dolls etc.). I don´t find them watchable at all.

I picked the same two choices :) I can handle the Toxic Avenger but that's about it.

I am ashamed to admit I picked allot of the choices. Guess that makes me a lame horror fan huh?

Vampire movies have never been my favorite sub-genre. I prefer monster type vampires to the romantic, Anne Rice style. The original Dracula... JC's Vampires, From Dusk Till Dawn, these are my types of vampire flicks.

Also, fake snuff type flicks like The Untold Story aren't my thing. I see no entertainment value from horror of this type.

I've been a horror fan since childhood and I didn't see this sub-genre listed above, but I just could never get into religious horror flicks like The Exorcist, The Omen, Rosemary's Baby, etc. Maybe it's because I wasn't raised in a religious household, not that you need to be to appreciate this sub-genre, but I'm assuming that if you were it could heighten the impact, but they have never, ever done anything for me.

there's good and bad in every category. As long as it keeps me engaged (not necessarily entertained) I can give it a pass.

Asian horror would be my #1 on the list.

I've tried, I just can't get into it.

I can usually get into a bit of everything although I do have a hard time watching most Troma stuff. Also I can't get into the vampire/action films like Blade and Underworld.

Asian Horror, but more specifically Japanese Horror (anything involving a dark haired girl ghost or stuff like Machine Girl). I've tried to, and I'll continue to check them out if available, but I just cannot get into them at all.

Troma I can't take at all. Not funny, not scary, not good.

After that not really into fake snuff or rape/revenge.

I don't watch silent films, (but can appreciate them for what they are),nor do I enjoy black and white,Hammer, anything before the 1970s,(and even then it should be mid- to- late 70s),or foreign films, (though I admit to liking High Tension),especially Asian cinema (which has saturated the horror market).

Just give me slashers/exploitation sleaze/supernatural,without Troma's $hit (with the exception of Mother's Day,one of my faves) from 1975-1990 + handful of those from the 2000s, and I'm happy.

Does that make me picky? LOL What can I say,I know what I like.

I can't stand bad films. Just that.
A good film is as good film, no matter the style. Drama is drama.

Oh, but I can stand a bad film that knows it's bad most of the times!

There are a few exceptions (there always is) but as a general rule I don't care for "Rape Revenge" "Troma" "fake snuff" "torture" and "shaky cam/found footage". I also chose "other" because I really don't like SOV (Shot on Video) films.

I can't. The best "bad" films are the ones that are unintentionally so. Ed Wood and the people who made Troll 2, Howard the Duck, and Manos the Hands of Fate didn't set out to make "bad" movies, they just happened to turn out that way. Movies that set out to be bad are generally HORRRRRIBLE.

Man…I think I’ll watch just about anything pre-1995. Anything after that I get a little picky.

I picked rape/revenge, fake snuff, torture, and slashers. Yet, I can think of at least one film from each of those categories that I would say is truly an excellent film. However, Slashers are high on the list of sub-genre that I am just simply bored to tears by. I may hold "Halloween" as one of the greatest horror films out there, but all the followers are just so repetitive and predictable that I just can not find any interest in them.

I love Suspiria but have a really hard time with any other Italian horror films. It's that damned dubbing that pulls me right out of the movie and ruins the whole experience.
