Did some searching but found nothing. If there is a thread already I will delete mine of course.

    No Hess = No Sale!

(i don't care that his character is dead, that shouldn't stop the Italians!)

    Blah...
Italian exploitation cinema is long past its peak.
Most everything they churn out these days is sub-DTV drivel.

Well, I guess I'd rather hear about this than hear about a remake of the original!

I found the original underwhelming, if Hess is not going to be in the sequel I see no point. Hess was outstanding at selling these films and was the main reason to watch them, at least for me.
Too bad it got him typecast as the ultimate 'scumbag'.

I'm hitting Cinema Wasteland in less than a month. Definitely gonna ask Ruggero Deodato about this. Maybe ask Hess as well since he is a guest at the con too.

    "Hot diggity!"

Why? Every thing I read about the original they say Deodato hated it and it was only done because he needed the money. I thought Radice hated that film too? Why the fuck are they doing a sequel it if they supposedly can't stand the original?

The interviews with both parties on the shriek show disc didn't indicate any feelings like that. maybe at the time, but certainly not anymore.

I read it in the Deodato book that was put out several years ago.

What is it lately with reviving old movies by making a sequel several decades later?

This is getting as bad as remakes... but if it would initiate a Blu-ray release of the original, then hell yeah! :eek2:

I'm a fan of the original but a sequel would only be made for the money and would really only be a sequel in name. Now I have that damn song "sweetly" running through my head.
