Righto. Need another Italian horror cheapie for more laughs. Next up, Burial Ground?
I've always found Demons to be a nice middle ground between mainstream American horror and off the wall Italian stuff. Most of my friends have dug it.
Tromeo and Juliet makes a great date movie.
I dunno... Peter Bark might push your date completely over the edge!!
She's a keeper, then. I can get my girlfriend to watch a lot of horror movies, but she'd have nothing of Troll 2. Doesn't stop me from quoting it endlessly around the dinner table, though!
My last girlfriend saw Cannibal Ferox as a first date move and she loved it.
I was kinda surprised because she only likes romantic stuff...

Ha! the first present my boyfriend ever got me was that movie. We had just started going out three or four days before Christmas, and I honestly wasn't expecting anything from him. We plugged this in and got all spoonie on the couch on Christmas Eve. Great date movie.
A word of caution though, I lent him Bloodsucking Freaks before we were an item, and he watched it with his friends. So they all thought I was some sort of kinky sex slave freak and I suppose he did too. Anyway, I still get comments about it from his friends to this day, 5 years later.
First date? Maybe not. But it is certainly a litmus test for anyone you might be thinking about getting serious with. Just be sure not to tell them that their reaction will be judged nor that the relationship hangs in the balance--you want, nay, deserve their honest reaction.
EDIT: Glad it went well!!!
So, it turned out not to work with the "first wife" huh? I hope you don't blame the movie.
