I would like a commentary track.
I've been thinking of selling this off and getting the region 2 version, as I've heard the R1 is cut and the R2 isn't. I don't really believe that, but know I could get the R2 and some cash by what I could sell the R1 for.
Anyone know if it's true about the cuts? IMDB says it's true, but I'd rather hear from someone who does know.

Yeah, a new version un-cut with commentary would get me to buy. I'd rather see "Elvis" get to dvd first though! BB is a cool little flick, but not a masterpiece by any means. I think I've watched the dvd twice since buying it about 2 years ago.

  3. Man, Sci-Fi televised this around 3am a couple of days ago & on a whim I recorded it...I TOTALLY forgot this movie. That "Hair" story had me scratching my skin.

As Big Daddy said, its no masterpiece, but a good movie nonetheless. A shame the rare R1 DVD is "cut" supposedly.

John Carpenter as the mortician was classic. This was a Showtime original? With this, Psycho IV and Masters of Horror, Showtime rocks!!!

I don't know. I'm surprised that this doesn't have a listing on dvdcompare.net! They are usually pretty on-the-ball with the multi-region releases.

The first little number with Robert Carradine is awesome. Carpenter is good fun in it too -- and man, life certainly does imitate art, because JC isn't too far away from looking like the mortician these days. :D

The R1 DVD that is now OOP is in fact cut. I don't know the exact cuts but I've read numerous places that it is. I'm going to patiently wait for an eventual R1 uncut release since it's bound to happen sooner or later.

  10. Who has the rights now? Lion's Gate? If so, I don't foresee a re-release any time soon. Not popular enough I guess. An uncut Body Bags & widescreen Fright Night 2 are definitely on my "wish it'll happen, but probably not" list.

I really dug the cameos. Mainly...
Sam Raimi as a dead body in the 1st segment and the ever calm Roger Corman as a Dr in the 3rd segment

  11. Body Bags is a Republic picture...Paramount now has the rights to all of those.

    Even worse.
I'm half tempted to "back up" & sell my R1 disc while it's worth something and gamble on that other version with the proceeds. I get the feeling I'll be getting a drd+/-r at best for some reason.
Then again with the HD war looming lots of things are getting released on standard dvd. Paramount hasn't been in on that so much though.

    MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM?

Isn't the R2 supposed to be uncut as well?

I always see it advertised as such, but can't ever find out for sure if it is or just ebayers using buzzwords.

Does it have those clips baggio posted in it? I'd rather buy that from someone more reputable if it is uncut.

Has anyone ever ordered from fleshwoundvideo.com? Hard to trust sending PP or any kinda $ to "pimpone" blind.:D

Watched this on Shudder tonight. The first of the three segments “Gas Station” was excellent. It had a great atmosphere and tension. I wasn’t a fan of segment 2, “Hair” at all, but the final make-up made my skin crawl. The final segment “The Eye” was good and although not as creepy as the first segment it was very watchable.

I found the linking story with JC in the morgue to be dumb. I may have giggled once, but I feel like it didn’t age well.

All in all it was a fun watch.

Based on that clip...yes! I am assuming there isn’t the blood spray in the cut version. This is in HD and had full spray.

    Correct.
Still remember how pissed of I was, when I "upgraded" from my uncut VHS, to the DVD, not knowing it was cut.
I'm glad the uncut version is available everywhere now :)
