Now this:I think I found this disc, very cheap. But I'm not sure if it's the Sazuma disc.
Has there been another release recently that I don't know of?Probably not.
For this price (16 Euro/$20) I might consider buying it,even if it isn't totally my kind of movie.
So,has there been another release of it recently?

Not that I know of...does it come with the soundtrack?? If so, it's probably the Sazuma disc.

Not much info given.Only that it's German import with a few audio options (English,Italian and German) and at least it seems like a different cover:

It's weird because this cover also has the German title Verflucht zum Toten, just like the Sazuma release which looks like this:

    [IMG][IMG]

And it's not the Japanese cover either because that's this one:

    OK,I'm confused.....:(

Right,I now know what happened.I emailed the store about this disc.
Then I got a reply that they accidentally listed the DVD and removed it from their catalog.
I figured something was wrong because the price was just too low for a DVD+ CD release from Germany/Austria.

    It's a pity though,it was a very nice price :(.

Severin is putting out a R1 disc of this on 8/26/08 along with In the Folds of the Flesh (Nelle pieghe della carne)

Severin is pretty much my favorite company right now.

That's great. Hopefully it gives the film the wide exposure it deserves. Too bad Sazuma's discs haven't taken off though, they've done amazing jobs on all of them. They really deserve the support.

Awesome, Severin is really pulling through for fans. I've wanted to see this one and now I'll be able to.

I have a dvd-r of this film that is fullscreen and grainy.I have a question though.I see the new Severin dvd has the some of the features that the Sazuma dvd has.Are the transfers the same? As in like how BU does with old AB titles? I would spend the extra five bucks for the soundtrack.I just wonder how the new print is,if it even is new.Anyone care to chime in when they get a chance to see it?

Looking at all the screenshots provided with these reviews,I have the feeling that this transfer is softer.
The Sazuma disc looks sharper on my TV than these screenshots..
But to be sure we should do some kind of comparison..I might do some screens from the Sazuma disc and compare them to the ones already available.
I will get back to ya.

I've got both discs, so comparisons are forthcoming. I'm just holding out to post the review during October madness. Great film though, definitely worth a viewing if you don't already own it.

A review with a tiny comparison from our friend meddle:

    http://10kbullets.com/reviews/l/last-house-on-the-beach-the-severin-films/

The Sazuma disc show a bit more information on top and bottom.Sharpness looks quite the same in these screenshots.

Lets wait what rhett has to say in a couple of weeks.

I just read there's no Italian option on the Severin disc?I watched it in Italian which sounded better to my ears.

Yeah, the dubbed track is sort of iffy, you can tell the dialogue was better in the Italian version from the trailer.

I watched the full movie and I must say I liked it more then Last house on the left.Last Beach disturbed me more. The rape scenes were more fucked up.The soundtrack was awesome too.Looks like im getting the Sazuma dvd. Thanks for who ever started this thread, also does anyone know how much was cut out of the Terror version? if anything was cut out at all but there was some jumpy edits that made me seem there were cuts.
